-HAHA!ADVICE?LIKETHEPILLOWS?-Anywho...
A friend and I are both looking to cosplay since the advent of Con season is upon us (only not really.)
Mind our silly faces please:
Jojo:
- Doesn't mind wigs or makeup.
- Prefers to use real hair.
- Nothing too expensive >.>
- Nothing too revealing.
- 5'4"
Myself:
(I'm alreadly cosplaying as Mistress Rhode, but the more the merrier dears)
- Is ok with wigs and makeup.
- Likes ribbons. A LOT
- Nothing too expensive.
- 5'4"
We're BOTH open to many things and have a wide variety of intersts. this will also be our first cosplays and so we'd like something that isn't too difficult.

For Jojo I'd suggest Jade Curtiss from Tales of the Abyss.  For you I'd suggest Anise Tatlin from the same game. There's not much TotA cosplay out there, the outfits are relatively easy, and you two look a good bit like the characters. Plus it caters to your likes.

I can't really think of anything for Jojo that doesnt uses her orignal hair. Possibly Robin from Witch Hunter Robin but her hair seems short. But there are a lot of Ghibli characters with normal brown hair her size
I suggest-

Katara-Avatar (not an anime but they have good costumes)

@Hairface: Ah, I've been meaning to get into Tales for the lovely red heads in the series. I like the Anise girl's socks, thank you, I'll notify Jojo.
@Wolf Sasaki: I believe her name is Toph and I tried to convince her to be Chihiro but she turned it down. If I can get her to watch Fruits maybe and She might indeed be Yuna. Also I'm giving Katara a strong thought since she's nifty. I made a pair of Chi ears a while back, so she might do too.

Thanks all.Toph Bei Fong to be exact. Try some of the other Ghibli Films like the Cat Returns or Howl's Moving Castle. Both have good cosplay for girls.

If you guys don't mind crossplay, you could always do WJuliet. Its odd crossplay because the femine looking one with the long hair who wears th dresses is the male, pretending to be female and the one with the shorter hair is female, but all the girls are inlove with her and keep trying to get her to be more manly. Personaly I adore Amano and Ito both from W Julet, and it can be a lot of fun to cosplay. Amano-san is bond with longish hair so I think her hair would work, and itos hair is short and black. Yours is a bit too long, but isnce Itos is kinda spiky at times, you could jel and fold.
The yomiko readman and saturn ideas are both good, I definatly willadmit that. But of you like robbons, might I recomend Card captor Sakura? I am just getting into the series myself now, so I do not know who jojo could be, but Mei is always forcing Sakura into ribbony things. Actually, for the two f you, look into clamp. Nearly anything clamp has some potential for you two. She would make a lovly Kohaku from Wish, and with a willingness to use wigs, well, you could really pull off almost anyone if your creative. But wish has the added bonus of simple costumes (If you font make the wings!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Remeber, the boggest part of cosplay, at least to me, is playing the charictors, and putting love into the costume. If you can wlk the walk and talk the talk, and you worked hard on your costume, I'm sure it'll come out supurb! And you can always keep adding ont it a bit, year by year.

I think jojo could pull off a good Quistis Trepe from FF8.
And the only thing she does show is her stomach XD
Edit: Also She can use her orginal hair with it, She just has to leave some hair from the sides to the front and brush her bangs into it... That didn't make much sense either...
Sorry I'm not tht usefull but that was the first person that came to mind when i looked at the photo...
I'm still thinking for you!

hmm what would be best is to look for a character test form your favorite anime (answer everything to your best ability) once you find your character try to see if you can pull it off (try to act like the character if you can)once you get done with making the outfit try it out at convention or with friends
