Welcome to the world of Septerra, 'this world is divided by many small continents. Ruthless oceans divide the continents, and sailing is now a thing of the past. As time progressed the use of these rare crystals, known as "Mananite" have been used to create huge ships who's only purpose is to fly across the skies form city to city and continent to continent. As this means of transportation developed so did the formation of "Sky Pirates" these are groups of men and women who fly the skies living the way they want and how they want. The "Imperials" the people who control all of Septerra have developed their own counter measures to this group of petty, and created the "Royal Navy"

If I may young pirate, but if you are in need of a ship then you should travel to Jeuno. It is the worlds largest port, and its nick name is "The birthplace of Pirates". So I would check that place out first maybe make a crew, get a ship.
