In her eyes she had lost everything to eureka and so she wanted revenge.

1. She couln't have kids because of a "blinding light"(7th swell) that was caused by eureka and nirvash when they were still in the military.
2. Ray had made a family with renton but when renton found out they were going to kill eureka he returned to the Gekko-State, so ray lost Renton her somewhat son the eureka.
3. Her and charles went to the Gekko to kill holland and eureka while at the same time "save" renton from that "horrible monster"(eureka) and charles ended up being killed. Thuse she was left alone with everything takin away from her because of eureka.
Because of this she thought that if she couldn't have happyness, children or renton then neither could eureka.

Pretty much, I'm sure the "it" she was looking for was her ring, because that was the arm it was on.

hahah ray needed to live in the times and get withe the program buy living her life with happyness and i know it would be hard for her but that is what charles would really want cool

omg...ray was always a favourite character for me...as well as charles...after i watched that episode i bawled like a complete baby...and after to make things worse...i watched this amv on youtube and bawled even worse...i didnt even mean too...i came across it by accident...
