It was a rather nice day today. The sun was beating down upon the grasslands, but it wasn't too hot since there was a nice breeze. But if there was one person who could turn a good day sour, it was Sehani.
A bitter female, she was having some trouble coping with the loss of her mate, the father of her cubs, Matope. Since he had disappeared, she had wandered away from the swamp pride, letting three of her cubs stay there and taking the fourth with herself. Right now, however, she was alone. Gharadi was off somewhere, doing goodness knows what.
Grumbling to herself, she continued on with no real destination. That very morning, she had simply picked a direction and started walking. Now she was...
Lifting her head, she glanced around at her surroundings. Where was she? It wasn't any place she had ever seen before, that was for sure. Flicking her ears, she silently surveyed the area. It smelt vaguely of lions, but nothing that really struck her. Little did she know, she was in the Pridelands. Not that it would have bothered her anyways.
Shaking out the tuft of fur atop her head, she flicked her tail then continued onward again. She was thirsty, and so saught out a watering hole. With a few sniffs and some luck, she eventually found one, and quickly quenched her thirst. Her throat no longer dry, the gray lioness settled down on her haunches and looked around again.
Where to now?

He'd spent most of his time lately with his family, but he'd also been socializing with others. He remembered that juvenile he'd met a few weeks ago. Mani, was it?
Though he was still extremely paranoid and his obvious stutter refused to go away. It was rare that the young adult was alone, but now he wondered with no company. He wasn't bored, more content. His golden pelt clean and clear in the bright sun.
Suddenly his amber eyes fell upon a figure in the distance, it was unusual of those normally found in the Pridelands, and those of his family. Instead of being brown, sandy coloured or golden, the figure ahead was grey, an odd sight and thus he felt curious, though afraid.
What if they were here to hurt him? Should he turn back? Or shout for mother? Maybe she was too far away or busy with the cubs? The female began to move closer, but Mbari had stopped in his tracks. "O-oh-h dear..." He muttered.

Sehani's ears, pricked and alert, listened for anything unusual. She was in strange lands and she didn't want to get attacked from behind or anything. After all, it wasn't like she hadn't been attacked before in strange lands. She had scars to prove it.
Turning her head around a lot, being as she was blind in one eye, she scanned the terrain. Nothing of interest. Where were all the creatures? It seemed a little too quiet for her liking. And then she spotted Mbari. Her eyes narrowed as she attempted to get a better look at him. He was male and an adult, she could tell from his full mane. Why was he just standing there? Perhaps these were his lands and he was watching her to see if she was a threat or not? But then a scent was brought to her. It was a fear-scent, and it seemed to be radiating off of him.
Smirking, she rose to her paws and turned to face him. Her tail flicked in curiousity as she watched him in turn. What was there to fear? Certainly not her. She was but a simple rogue.
Wandering a bit closer, she turned to the side and watched him with her good eye like some kind of bird.
"Are these your lands?" she asked boldly, the cooler air in the day making her less irritable.
