At the end of New Moon, Edward was saying that he wouldn't want to kill Jacob, and Jacob was saying that he wouldn't want to accidentally kill Edward. So, if they were to face off, who would really kill the other?

That is too horrible to think about! Those two gorgeous guys killing each other? Non, merci!
On a more serious note, I don't think it can be determined. Jacob isn't as experienced as Edward, but he has talent and has shown he isn't one to be triffled with. Edward, on the other hand, has all of his fantastic vampire abilities. That means he can read Jacob's mind, which could be a pretty big advantage.
I don't really know...they're both so amazing...and arrogant. It would be one crazy battle.

Yeah I love Edward and Jacob (I love Edward more though), but I think Edward would kick his butt majorly 3nodding

Werewolves were made to hunt vampires, not werewolf. If Edward and Jacob were to face off, one on one, Edward would TOTALLY win. Which is why such a battle must never happen.

well..i had a thought that if you really think about it...neither of them could win....they could be at it for days and days!! Edward doesnt have to sleep but what about werewolves...??
EDIT: if i did chose a side...im all for Edward! heart

Hmmm... that IS something to think about.
I mean, it would be difficult...
Edward is more experienced, that's true...
But Jacob was MADE to kill Vampires, and he has a natural talent that the other werewolves don't too.
I think we'd only find out if they actually fought. confused
I don't want that to happen. gonk
But if I was to choose, I'd obviously go for Edward.

stephenie already forshadows who will most likely win in the next book. stephenie uses romeo and paris to represent edward and jacob.
it goes like this...
romeo and paris fight.
romeo wins.

It would be a long and difficult fight. As people have said Jacob has been made to kill vampires but Edward has had more experience. I think Edward would most likely win but Jacob might as well. It's difficult.

i luff jacob now ... i've been a fan since the first book but after the second i totally like ditched all fanship for edward and instead was like' NO!!! go with jacob!!!' ... yes ... please excuse my hysterics... none of my friends are on and i'm a bit hyper....

If such a battle were to happen (heaven forbid!), then alas, despite my loyalty to Jake, I think Edward would win. Here's another idea... Edward vs. Jasper?
