Use this thread for questions and discussion regarding DT600's, DT500's, DT200's, and anything else regarding the company.
Products DT600 Dance Platform The flagship product of DT Gaming, the DT600 is durable, handmade, and has the DT-unique "whoops, my bad" guarantee. This means that if you treat your pad right, you follow all the rules, you don't even run it over with a Sedan, let alone an SUV, and the baseboard cracks, or a wire snaps, or the control box combusts, killing your mother-in-law and 12 insects living in your carpet (that is, the mother-in-law living in your carpet; the insects were innocently eating dust while visiting their cousins on the sofa) we'll fix it (note that we don't cover mother-in-laws and that, if the CB blows, up, there's a pretty good chance it's somebody else's fault). What this doesn't cover are the individual arrows of the standard DT600. Why? Because they cost about $2.50 to replace, just mail any broken arrow to us, we'll fix it and mail it back, good as new, probably better! biggrin.gif Prices: Standard: $70 ($55 cheap model) Doubles: $125 Deluxe: $95 Custom: $110 (varies +/- $50) Weight: 11 lbs* (unconfirmed)
DT500 The rich-kid Dance platform. These are the only DT pads that can be ordered arcade-compatible. This means that, upon request, I'll go through the trouble of making them so that you can upgrade that useless Solo Bass machine you have siting in your garage to your favourite DDR, ITG, or Pump It Up mix and play some insane doubles on that DT500 doubles set you saved $1200 on by not buying an official product. The bulk of these are custom made; even after their official release, there will only be 2 single pads and on doubles platform in the HQ warehouse, not including the 10-inch thick rave platform cowering in front of the Dancing Tofu StepMania Monster Machine, which may appear at a number of Anime and Gaming conventions throughout the Pacific Northwest of the United States during late 2007 and beyond. In short, this pad is for anyone who wants to shell out a few hundred bucks to become the pimpin'est, doggy'est, coolest cat in town. E7.gif Price: Deluxe (there is no standard with the DT500): $400 (unconfirmed) Doubles: $750 (uncomfirmed) Custom (doubles only): starting at $800 (ending around > $alot) Weight: 280 lbs* (unconfirmed)
DT200: A beast of a pad. If you want an idea of what to expect from a DT200, buy a Cobalt Flux, modify it with a steel arcade mod, and superglue it to a 3" board. The DT200 is made by taking a solid 1" Oak plank, putting a sheet of steel on top, then putting a 1" maple plank on top of that, then top it with a slightly thicker layer of steel, then have a hyraulics sensor system using copper contacts, then hide it under a Maple stationary panel 1" thick with 10 gauge steel "sheet" on top, put a 2" thick stationary panel in each corner with another 10 gauge steel "sheet", making the stationary panels all the same height. Now, put a 1/4" lexan panel on top of the push end of the hydraulics tube, connect the end of the tube with the bottom of the panel using a funky rubber thing, set 4 powerful magnets on the bottom of the well, one in each corner, and a 4 corresponding magnets on the bottom of the lexan panel, so that the magnets are pushing away, now, it should be a doggy-of-time trying to get the panel down to where it's supposed to be. The process continues for about half an hour, involving a steel-boring drill, some heavy-duty cement, 4" screws, and a helluva time trying to get that thing delivered for a descent price. It's built on a platform so that you don't have to bend down and pick it up to get the next one built, because I want to still have a functioning back when I turn 30. E13.gif Summary: Tough, tough, heavy, tough, big, copper sensors, > CF, < Arcade. Price: Standard: $250 Deluxe: just get a DT500 Doubles: $480 Custom: Why bother? That's what the DT500 is for.

UPDATE
DT600 protos should be up in January, along with pictures and feedback.
1un4r, I'm going to have a pre-release party when I make the DT500 prototypes. You'll probably be beaten, gagged, and forced to come, drink lots of soda, and review it. Or maybe I'll just invite you like a normal person. Whatever.
Oh yeah, by the way, all those prices are off.

I'll take a DT600. From the description I think it'd last pretty long with me. I'm usually pretty good at keeping gaming stuff alive. I used to be the grim reaper of computers though O.x
