Shikamaru is quite simply very impressive and awesome..and yes I think he iis quite sexy(in a strange kind of way).However, I do see why some thinks he is sexist my thoughts about that..think about the ladies he's around (tsunade, ino, tayuya, temari) they're all very independent.. if not a little bossy (and in some cases short -tempered) in addition he's scared of his own mother (frankly I would be too) so no wonder he has a predisposed thing against chicks..but shika my message there are good girls out there...(I suppose)

Shikamaru however smart, is in no means the 'best' character in the series. Unfortunately that title belongs to Madara Uchiha. When shika can manipulate and control a team of ten or so 'elite' ninja, to take out seven of the nine Bijuu. Along with take mizukage, not to mention live for a certain number of years not losing his touch or strength, then maybe he'd be good. But shikamaru is average.

Houka Kami Kobushi Deshi- Shikamaru however smart, is in no means the 'best' character in the series. Unfortunately that title belongs to Madara Uchiha. Ok..I see where your going that's your opinion and I dont really know whether to disagree or not but average, I can't quite say Shikamaru is average, if he was simply average he wouldnt have major storyline about him but still its not all about physical ability,though more of it would help him.Im not saying he's the best in the series, I take no picks for that Im just saying he's my personal favorite
