Sakura Hishitori was a beautiful girl, though no one saw her as one. She was one of the most sensitive people one could ever meet. Her hair was a long shiny chocolate brown with purple streaks in it. Her eyes were a stunning purple that could pull even the coldest of men into a trance. Unfortunately, there was a downside to her: she was half cat demon. But nobody knew about this. She hid her tail, claws, and ears. Her ears were a bit of a problem to hide though. So she found a hair style that hid them from everyone. Despite all of her beauty and unique hair style, not many people at school liked her. She had friends, just not that many. A lot of the students picked on her, and at times she would have liked to cry. But she was too strong of a person to give them that sort of satisfaction. Her friends would even pick on her at times, but they just teased her and it didn’t hurt anywhere near as much. She arrived at school just like she did any other day.

"Over here Sakura!" Kiyo called, waving frantically. Sakura turned and jogged over to her friends, throwing her arms around their shoulders. Kiyo shrieked but Anka just sighed at them. Kiyo had bright blue eyes and semi-long blue hair, and could be bit of a dumb blonde at times. Anka had shoulder length black hair with blue-violet streaks in it and blue-violet eyes, and was a punk rock dresser so she hated the school uniforms.

"Hi, how are you guys?" Sakura giggled trying to catch her breath.
"I'm fine," Anka replied, eyeing Kiyo who had now distastefully fallen to the floor in a fit of giggles.

"Me too, and you?"

"I'm fine too, but I sure don't want to be at school today."

"Me neither."

"Yeah, I wanted to stay home in bed."

"Well, I wanted to stay home in bed until about ten, then get on the computer and stay on most of the day."

“Why do you stay on the computer so much, Sakura?"

"Yeah, what are you doing on there all day? Do you have an internet boyfriend?"

"No! I just like it on there it's kinda fun and you can meet new people, even though you won't get to see them. But that's okay."

"Sure, Sakura whatever you say."

"I don't, so there." She said getting pretty hot tempered.

The bell rung, making all three girls jump and Kiyo burst into another giggling fit. Anka sighed pulled the hyperactive girl to her feet and through the door of the school. Sakura followed behind, sighing. It was going to be a long day.

Sakura took her seat in the back of the class. The tardy bell rang, making some of the students late. "I'm bored," Sakura sighed in the middle of class, reaching up and running her hand through her brown hair in irritation. It knotted the second time she ran her hand through her hair and there was nothing she could do about it. The second half of class went by and it was finally over. Everybody headed off to their next class. After a long day, school was finally over and everybody went on their way home.

"So how'd you do on that math test?”

"Lets not even go there," moaned Anka.

"It can't be worse than what I got, a 45," Kiyo said.

"What?" Anka cried in surprise.

"Well this is my street," Kiyo said, departing from her friends for the rest of the day.

Sakura and Anka walked in silence, until they got to Anka's street.

"Well, see you later, Sakura."

"Yeah, seeya."

Sakura walked alone to her street. She sighed and looked down as she turned onto her street. She looked up when she got to her house, opening the door and walking into her empty house. She did what homework she had and stayed on the computer for a while before going outside to find something fun to do. After a while of having nothing to do she went back home and got on the internet. While she was looking around on the net she got IM from a new person. They explained where they got her screen name and that they wanted to get to know her better. So they begain to talk, and becoming good friends over the next two weeks.

One day at school, when Sakura was walking through the halls she saw someone drop their notebook. When she went to pick it up, she looked inside it (to be nosy). Her eyes widened a bit when she saw a very familer screen name. She closed it and ran up to the person who dropped it.

"Excuse me, but you dropped your notebook."

The person turned around. "Oh, thank you."

"You're welcome. May I ask your name?"

"Shuichi Minamino. And yours?"

"Sakura Hishitori."

"That's a nice name. Please don't mind me asking, but what's your screen name?"

"SakuraH88."

"Ok, do you want mine?"

"No, I know it already. I looked in your notebook and saw it when I picked it up. I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Well, talk to you later."

"Ok, seeya."

Sakura took her usual seat at the back of the class. After everyone was settled in their seats, the teacher began class. Sakura, of course, wasn't listening. She was in her own little world, thinking about what, she had cat ears and a tail. She soon got tired of thinking about it and took out her sketch book and began to draw herself with her cat ears and tail showing. She finished quickly, so she thought she would draw something else. This time she drew herfself going shopping hiding her cat ears and tail. She hid them under one of her hats. She drew the buildings, street, streetlights, cars and people walking past her. She was done in just fifteen minutes, but it looked like she spent more time on it, because it was so detailed. Sakura put her sketch book away and began daydreaming. She was soon snapped back to reality by the teacher calling her name.

"Ms. Hishitori, can you answer the question?"

"Ummm....uhhh....I don't know."

The teacher just shook his head. "You should pay more attention. We have a test coming up soon."

The bell rang and the students got up and quickly left the classroom. Soon school was over. As Sakura was walking down the steps to go home someone pushed her down. When she sat up, she saw everyone staring at her. Then she realized her hair had fallen down, revealing her cat ears. She heard someone say, "You're a freak. You need to leave this school, and go somewhere else where you're wanted. No, better yet, you need to die!" She got up and ran home as fast as she could. Jumping on her bed, Sakura buried her face in her pillows and cried herself to sleep.
