Welcome to the general anime discussion thread. Feel free to discuss and talk about any anime here! Seperate threads are also allowed for popular anime such as Naruto and Inu-Yasha, so feel free to make them if they haven't already been made.

In this thread talk about your favorite anime, characters, moments, scenes, endings, plot, etc. Recommend some anime to others or advise other not to watch it, too. Also feel free to ask questions and hopefully get answers if something confuses you.

Be advised, if you're giving away a spoilder please mark it clearly so that people who haven't gotten that far don't have their experience ruined. There are seveal methods uncluding white text, small text, or large bolded *SPOILER* alerts as well.

Lately I've been reading the two latest manga series from CLAMP, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle and XXXHOLiC. heart I love them both so much. The anime for both are also excellent. I've been watching them subbed. Supposedly, Tsubasa is being translated my FUNimation, which makes me happy because it will be in English but also nervous because I'm worried they won't do a good job. confused I just hope they get voices that fit the characters as well as the Japanese ones do. sweatdrop

Also, although I doubt anyone will agree with me on this one, I LOOOOOOOOVE Bobobo-bobo-bobo. whee It's such a fresh change from all the predictable anime out there, and I love it. ^_^

I just finished off Angel Sanctuary, by Kaori Yuki. Delightfully odd, with a wonderful story and beautiful artwork. What's odd about this story, is that the main character is in love with his sister, you've got a transvestite demon, there's several bits of homosexuality of both genders, and the enemy in this is Heaven and God.

Currently, I'm reading Battle Club. Fanservice-y goodness. To quote the back of the second volume "More exploding clothes from the creator of Battle Vixens."

My hubby was reading Battle Vixens back in the day, but he ended up burning it because I didn't approve of it, LOL! (Note, I didn't tell him to do it, I just said I didn't like it, and he burned it. o.O; )

I've seen Angel Sanctuary before but haven't ever picked it up. Is it good?

I wanted to pick up Battle Vixens. I couldn't bring myself to burn a manga, I'd just sell it at a yard sale or something.

It's really good, if you're able to get past the bizarre little bits I mentioned. (By the way, check the Innocent life thread. I made a discovery.)

EEEEK. TRC. I actually bought a few of the manga myself from our local bookstore and got really into it, but sadly I haven't been able to get too far yet!

Ah, then I shall not spoil it for you. ::tucks away volume 11 of the manga and closes out of the window for Episode 40-something of the anime that she was watching subbed on YouTube:: xd If you like it, though, you really should try out XXXHOLiC. It's the otherside of the story, and it's fun to watch when the two crossover into each other, which happens often. whee

Yup, that and you get to see more of Yuuko and Watanuki. heart

Right now, anime-wise, I've mainly been watching Naruto. I haven't been watching much anime lately, mainly just various AMV's and whatnot. That reminds me, I have a fan-dub that's extremely hilarious that I should link in here...I'm not sure if anyone likes the actual anime used, but you don't have to like the anime to find it amusing. *goes off to create a thread to link the videos to* ninja

My top 5 anime are, as follows:
1. Hellsing
2. Initial D
3. Outlaw Star
4. FLCL
5. Digimon

Hellsing is my fave because it mixes 2 great things, Vampires and Guns.
Initial D is second because I love drift racing.
Outlaw Star is third because of a simple math equation: outer space + magic x wild west gunfights / cute girls - childishness = awesome.
FLCL is 4th because I can't count right now, since I just watched it and it is that F*#&ing Insane!
Digimon is 5th because the premiss of putting small creatures into air-tight balls (pokemon) frightens me slightly, and digimon has none of that.

I like Video games and Manga more than Anime because theres nly 2 that I watch on a semi-regular basis
1: Bleach
2: Fullmetal Alchemist
3: .Hack//Roots
4: Cardcaptor Sakura
5: Pokemon

Bleach is just plain awsome!
FMA Has been one of my fave's for a while (I think you can tell form my username sweatdrop )
.hack//roots is Awsome because its .hack// ( I heart .hack!) But Haseo's attitude get really annoying sometime making you want to kick him repetedly in the head or rear
Cardcaptor Sakura was like my first anime (also my old Username was CArdcaptor_Sakura13)
Pokemon has been my closet obbsession for every, No matter how many people make fun of me at school my love for pokemon shall not faulter!

Naruto
Pokemon
Petshop of Horrors
Me & My Brothers
Strawberry Panic
Mars
Tokyo Mew Mew

And those are just to name a few! 3nodding I usually tend to like sugary-sweet mangas with adorable romances, but I need to mix it up with butt-kicking action and adventure every few days.....and ninja-ness ninja Pokemon shall live forever in my heart, no matter how dorky the storyline may get! crying

My favorite anime wasn't listed.
It's Ranma 1/2. My boyfriend is the one who got me into it and into anime in general. Now I've been watching Fruits Basket as well, which is another GREAT anime. I love both of those!

My favorite Ranma 1/2 character is by far Ryoga.
And my favorite Fruits Basket character is Kyo.

My favourite anime is Full Moon Wo Sagashite. I know like all the songs Lol. Also...Kimikiss Pure Rouge and I guess Shugo Chara.

Full Moon is about a girl named Mitsuki who wants to become a singer but only has one year left to live. One day, two Shinigami come and let her become a singer. It has a really good ending.

KimiKiss is just basiclly teen romance stuff.

Shugo Chara is about a girl named Amu who get these special Chara's that help her in becoming the person she wishes she could be. (Something like that. I haven't watched the whole thing)
