Holidays usually make me happy, but this year, they're kind of depressing me. ::sighs:: I guess because I know I'm going to have to work on most of them. gonk
Sakura's Holiday Plans
Veterans Day--It's a Thursday, so I'll be working, 3 to 11. sweatdrop
November 19--The Wii comes out on this day!! ^o^ I plan to be in the midnight line at the Wal-Mart in the next town because ours won't be having a midnight release. I'll let you all know how it plays. 3nodding
Thanksgiving--See the answer for Vet's Day. stressed That makes me really mad, actually. I don't know what my hubby and I are going to do, because I don't think we'll be making a turkey for two. sweatdrop I'll be working during the entire holiday break, unless we get Wednesday off from school, in which case I'll have one day off. confused
Black Friday--I KNOW I will be working on this day, and I pray to GOD they don't try to put me in Toys. @.@; I may find myself wanting to quit on this day.
Christmas Eve--It's a Sunday, so I'll be working, but the store closes at 6, so it won't be as bad. ^_^
Christmas Day--The store is closed on this day, but I'm already scheduled to be off on Mondays, so I get cheated out of an extra day off. stressed

Though today isn't technically a holiday, it's still an important day. It's Guy Fawkes Day, a day in memory of an event that took place a few hundred years ago. The rhyme that accompanies this goes as such.
"Remember remember, the fifth of November The Gunpowder, treason, and plot I see no reason why gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, twas his intent To blow up king and Parliament Three score barrels were laid below To prove old England's overthrow
By God's mercy he was catched With a dark lantern and lighted match Holler boys, holler boys, let the bells ring. Holler boys, holler boys, God save the King."
