my band made state just not in texas, then we made finals and got 3rd, eh we were close to getting second only 3 tenths of a point away from paul lawerence dunbar

Wow that day was totally crazy. I didn't get to see Clements or Rowlet but when we were waiting for the finals to be announced, the clements band was like right behind me. I was like awesome!! omigosh remember when all the bands were doing the wave? that was so hilarious.but yeah i loved
L.d. Bell's show it was like crazy awesome.

Oh yeah we made like 27 or 28 or something like that. what pissed me off though is that some random guy came up to me and said, "Haha no one from the valley made it!" I was like oh hell no! but i didn't say anything cause i didn't want to stoop down to his level.

so yeah how did the rest of y'all do?

Clements didn't stay in a group, we all scattered like mad after we performed, so there were pockets of clements people all around.

We went to state in San Antonio.
We placed 6th in the finals.

Anyone here heard of the Langham Creek Lobo Band?
That's the band I'm in.

Yeah, some of us were a tad bit disappointed because at the last Texas Marching State Competition, we placed 4th.
But this year, our marching practices were pitiful and we weren't really succeeding much so we all basically thought we WEREN'T going to make it to state at all but we did.

It was amazing.

I love Bands of America so much better than U.I.L.

It rewards you for taking risks ::coughs orchestra:: that older judges in UIL might not appreciate. It's also better than the straight lines, easy drill that some people do for UIL.

Bah. It doesn't matter. Band's just for fun for me anyway...

Comp Sci is what I aim to win for.
