Nev & Indu

Lady_Asherah
He could feel his head spinning as he held his breath, staring quietly at the bedroom door. Asherah had kicked the canine's a** into coming down and seeing Neveah, and he was a little worried about the reaction the butterfly might give when he saw the other male.

The wolf creaked the door open after a moment more of hesitation, icy eyes examining the room quietly.

Elros Namasi
Right at that moment, Neveah was in his bathroom waiting for the water to get warm before he stepped into the shower. As a result, he didn't hear Indu enter his room..

Lady_Asherah
The wolf sighed in deeply at the sound of the shower running. He stepped quietly into the bathroom, figuring that jumping in might not have the best affect. He filled a cup full of cold water, and threw it over the top of the shower, waiting for the response Neveah might give to the sudden cold sensation.

Elros Namasi
"What the hell?!" Nev shrieked, pressing himself to the wall under the showerhead thinking it had been his shower that had suddenly turned cold. When he tested the water a few moments later, he found it to be just as warm as it had been when he first stepped in. Blinking, he shut the water off then pulled the shower curtain aside some and reached blindly for a towel. On its way, his hand came into contact with..something. Even more confused, the butterfly boy felt his way up what felt like a chest to someone's neck and then to that same person's face. He withdrew his hand slowly and then asked lightly, "Umm, who are you? And what are you doing in my bathroom?" Nev paused for a second then continued, "And could you me a favor and hand me a towel? They're right behind you."

Lady_Asherah
He cackled. "You could get it yourself you know... I wouldn't mind..." he whispered, passing a towel to the other male tiredly. "Here, here... get yourself decent." the wolf's tail curled slightly as he waited to see whether or not his voice was recognizable to the butterfly hybrid.

Elros Namasi
Nev knew who it was even before the wolf spoke. No one cackled quite like Indu. Stunned, Neveah took the towel and wrapped it around his waist then pulled aside the curtain and stepped out onto the towel he had laid on the floor, letting his wings drip dry. The butterfly boy looked a little worse for wear but Elros hadn't allowed him to sink into depression so he wasn't as gaunt as he would have been had she not intervened. "I thought you left," he said quietly, then slipped by Indu and went in search of clothing.

Lady_Asherah
He leaned against the threshold of the door hesitantly. "Is that so...?" the wolf questioned, raising a well-formed eyebrow. "Well... you were accurate. But I found a little friend that I had to bring back here... so, I returned."

Nzame was an important character to Indu... the little hyena had been much to similar to him for comfort... and the wolf couldn't take leaving the kid out on the streets because he was selfish. "I'm here for that person I found right now, Nev..." he whispered quietly through even lips. "He's little and he needs someone..."

Elros Namasi
"So why are you telling me this?" Neveah asked dully, trading the towel for a pair of flannel pajama bottoms. He was so caught up in shock and his own personal torment that he wasn't really following what Indu was saying. Nev hadn't thought it was possible to hurt this much. Sure, it had cut deep when the wolf had walked away but it hurt so much more to see him now and know that he was probably going to take off again at the first opportunity.

Lady_Asherah
"To tell you the truth... I'm really not sure." he replied, closing his eyes as his tail shifted behind him in discomfort. "... Look, Nev..." the canine sighed in deeply. "I'm not trying to make you unhappy... even if it seems like I am." an ear tweaked quietly on his head. "I have to admit, on a normal basis... I'm not the type to care... but..." he was out of words... and out of breath.

Maybe he should quit smoking...? God knew...

The wolf stared with icy eyes at Neveah... though they weren't cold like they normally tended to be... rather, they were a bit softened. "I sometimes regret ever entering this shop in the first place..." he announced quietly, crossing his arms over his chest. The wolf cackled. "Sometimes I just make other's life's too... difficult." the last word came out a little later than it should have as Indu pictured Kiviance in his head, ears going flat.

Elros Namasi
Nev finally turned to Indu and watched him, taking note of the wolf's flattened ears but choosing not to comment. "My life wasn't difficult until you walked out of it," he said softly, his eyes sparkling with unshed tears. "But you don't care, do you? You never did. I was a temporary distraction, someone you could amuse yourself with." His voice got quieter and quieter as he spoke until it was no more than a whisper. "But you know something? I didn't mind. I enjoyed having you around." The butterfly paused to sniffle and, without warning, the floodgates opened and silvery tears slid down his cheeks. "Why are you here, Indu? What do you want?"

Lady_Asherah
"Well... I'd like for you not to cry." he replied, an ear tweaking slightly. The wolf sighed in quietly. "I do make it hard for people, huh...?" he grinned, obviously hiding a small bit of different emotion under the smile. "Whether I'm there or I leave, I suppose." the canine shrugged his shoulders.

Would it have been better if he was non-existant...? Easier for the other's around him...? That case certainly applied in this situation, and it also applied in the small dilema with Kiviance... but, what about with the new little hyena boy? Indumauli sighed.

"I'm here 'cause I have this feeling that I want you to be a bit happier Nev. I obviously have to let you go... being with you is not, and frankly should not, be my decision. Guess I wanted to talk to you personally." he turned his attention on the door. "But if I'm making you cry... I should probably go, huh...?"

Elros Namasi
Before Indu could make a move to leave, Nev walked over and slipped his arms around the wolf's waist, holding onto him for a second. Then he took a step back and looked down at his feet, embarrassed. "I'm sorry," he said softly, eyes still a little moist and the occasional tear welling up and sliding down his smooth cheeks. "Please don't go yet. I'll try to stop crying, I swear.."

Lady_Asherah
The wolf looked as though he didn't understand why the other male insisted he stay. Wasn't him standing here the exact thing that made the butterfly cry...? Nonetheless, he listened to Neveah's request, and kept his feet put.

Indu's ears flicked every now and then, his mouth closed shut... as though it was out of words to vocalize. He sighed in quietly... not completely sure as to what he should say.

Elros Namasi
As if he knew what Indu was thinking, Nev sighed and started to explain. "I'm sorry. I missed you and when you showed up here, in my bathroom of all places.. I dunno, I just lost it. It's good to see you again..but, at the same time, I know you're gonna leave again and I got depressed.." The butterfly paused and swallowed. "Umm.. so how long are you planning on staying?" he asked awkwardly, leaning against a wall and crossing his arms over his chest.

Lady_Asherah
The room was eerily quiet. Indumauli's ear twitched quietly at the question before he sighed rather loudly. The sound cut through the room like a dagger as Indumauli shrugged his shoulders. "I'll stay awhile." he replied. "I'm not just going to leave that little hyena boy here with weird hybrids if that's what you're thinking. If I did manage to find myself leaving again... I may bring him with me, but it's highly unlikely."

He was going to be around for a bit...

Elros Namasi
"I didn't think you would. Just up and abandon the kid, I mean," Nev said lightly, dropping his arms and fidgeting with the waistband of his pajama bottoms. "I was just wondering because I wanted to ask if..if you and I could be friends..while you're around," he trailed off lamely, feeling really stupid. Two minutes ago he was in tears and now he was trying to get the wolf to spend time with him. Good gods he was pathetic. Indu probably thought he was nuts..

Lady_Asherah
His eyes shifted slightly at the butterfly's idea. After a small moment, the wolf-like hybrid grinned. He stepped over to the male, patting his head gently. "... Sure, Nev." the canine sighed. "I couldn't see why not..." his eyes looked tired as he ran a clawed finger gently through his own white and golden hair.

His tail flicked silently behind him, and the wolf male's expression changed slightly from a tired grin to a softer feature. "I figured you wouldn't want to talk to me anymore after everything that's gone on." he growled it delicately to himself and spoke it as politely as he could to the other hybrid.

Lady_Asherah
He hadn't seen Nev in awhile...

Needless to say, he had been particularly busy taking care of Nzame and Gwynn (considering Gregory's irritating absence) - therefore probably wouldn't have time even if he gave or received a call. Though lack of the butterfly hybrid had made him rather cranky, Baasima had noted out loud one morning - much to the disapproval of Gideon who had been trying desperately to say nothing about the other canines snappy observations, etcetera.

He sat in a diner, muttering several colorful words towards a cup of coffee that didn't want to talk (ignoring Indu never resulted well, in this case he had decided that more frustrated curses might get something out of the dark liquid). But they didn't, so the male had finally decided that he should discontinue the unfriendly growls towards the poor mug before someone called the police on him for... harassment on an inanimate object?

He leaned back in the seat, shoulder blades unfamiliar with the comfortable fabrics that made the thing up. Perhaps he should give Gideon a call to come get him? He was feeling rather woozy, so it was a rather good idea... but then, lack of a cellphone somewhat altered it to a bad idea considering only children walking home from school asked to use a phone at a diner... and even imagining the mortification that would follow the words, "Can I call home on your phone? I don't feel well and need someone to come get me..." made Indu shiver uncomfortably.

Elros Namasi
It had been awhile since he'd last seen Indu.. But that wasn't especially surprising considering he hadn't made any move to call the wolf. And it wasn't as if he really expected Indu to call him.
Nope, Neveah had decided to leave it all to chance with Indu. It had worked pretty well for him so far. And maybe his crush would miss him during these absences. 'Separation makes the heart grow fonder', right?
The butterfly considered all this as he walked with no particular destination in mind when a plaintive gurgle issued from somewhere around his midsection and made him pause, looking down at his stomach with an eyebrow raised. And, as it happened, he was standing right in front of a diner.
Neveah studied the little establisment for a moment, thinking about it, before he finally decided to go in.
And, 'lo and behold, what should he spot first but a familiar head of white-blonde hair and a pair of exceptionally cute wolf ears.
"Well hello there, stranger. Long time, no see," Nev said, trying not to sound too eager, as he slid into the seat opposite Indumauli. "You look like you're in a good mood. Wanna talk about it?"

Lady_Asherah
The butterfly seated across from him was definitely more interesting than the coffee, Indu decided shortly after the other hybrid decided to sit. "Butter-Ball... long time no see..." he greeted tiredly, clawed fingers wrapped around his mug in an attempt to warm after having been chilled from the outside temperature only moments before this one.

"I'd rather not talk about it actually..." he murmured a reply to earlier question, teeth gritted somewhat, "The last thing I need to do is share my feelings. Anyhow, I haven't seen you for quite some time. Been up to anything interesting lately?" He rose a slender brow, fingers removing themselves from his drink having been heated to approval by now.

Elros Namasi
"Oh, I wouldn't say anything I've been up to lately has been interesting. I mostly find myself sitting down with a book but I also have a job now. Elros got it for me," he said it with a shrug, almost indifferently. But really, he was thrilled about the whole thing. He just doubted Indu would want to hear him go on about it.
"So, what've you been doing with your time?" Neveah asked lightly, tapping his fingertips aainst the tabletop. "Oh, and if you decide you do wanna tell me about whatever's bothering you, I'm all ears," he added, seemingly as an afterthought.

Lady_Asherah
"A job?" he offered the butterfly an amused look, icy eyes dancing moments with contemplation over the given information. He shook off imagery of his hybrid in uniform and snickered, "And where - may I ask - is it you work, Butter-Ball?" he raised a slender brow, ears flicking with thoughtfulness as they listened for reply of some kind.

Typically interest in such things didn't exist for Indumauli - but this was, in fact, Neveah - so perhaps it was best to talk with the butterfly about the butterfly. And far as he could tell, a job would initiate some interesting conversation.

Wouldn't it?

Elros Namasi
Nev was quite a bit taken aback by Indu's interest in the subject but he recovered quickly enough and worked up a sheepish smile for the wolf.
"Well, I work at the bakery Elros just up and decided to open," he answered, glancing up at Indumauli.
"I'm just a cashier but I still have to wear an apron. Most days I can get away with one of the plain white ones but when business is slow, El makes me put on this pink frilly number. She says it attracts customers," the butterfly pouted while his cheeks turned red.

Lady_Asherah
"You? In a pink frilly apron? That's definitely appealing - I would totally come in. But I doubt I'd buy bread with the money I have - I'd probably just hit on you until this Elros lady kicked my butt out of the bakery..." a grin of amusement before he continued, "Of course I'd come back like - everyday you worked until she finally decided to call the police on me."

A small snicker, "Wouldn't that be deathly amusing...? The cops dragging me out of a bakery of all places. Not a bar, a bakery. Sounds like something that would happen to Kestrel for stealing bread because he thought it was free."

Elros Namasi
Nev let out a snort of laughter at the image that brought to mind then covered his nose and mouth until it subsided. When he'd finally recovered from his merriment, he took several deep breaths to get his wind back.
"You know, I don't think Elros would particularly mind, though," he mused aloud after a second of thoughtful silence.
"She'd more than likely consider it a huge draw. I mean, two really gorgeous guys flirting in her shop? And the frilly pink apron would be icing on the cake.. At the very least it'd bring in the yaoi fangirls," the butterfly boy pointed out, resting his chin in the palm of his hand and smiling lazily at Indu.
