Ooc: Open for anyone. =D
Ic:
It was one of those clear sunny days that Ruri was certain must have bloomed just for her. Her and Nexi. Today they sat at a white plastic table with one of those striped umbrellas outside of the local ice cream store. Yesterday, after going home, somehow ice cream had come up in the conversation and with a small shy smile Nexi had asked with they could go have some. Ruri had thought it was a wonderful idea and so after a bit of negotiations with the police and those strange people supplying her with medicine they were out and about.
Apparently oblivious to the looks from the store staff, Ruri ate her strawberry ice cream and chatted on about this and that to Nexi, who sat in the chair opposite with a bright smile on his face and a cup of bubblegum flavoured ice cream. So what if he couldn't actually eat it. It was the thought that counts. Not that the staff saw it that way, considering they couldn't see Nexi at all. As far as they were concerned, a young woman in a blue dress was talking animatedly to thin air.
"This was a great idea Nexi. We should go out more often."

It was, for once, a quiet day. Granted, his life as of late had been somewhat frenetic, so a quiet day would be any on which he wasn't crashing his car or being chased by madwomen, but still... Even assuming that it was his life-before-the-meds, it was a nice, peaceful day.
Life-before-the-meds. The things you never think you'll say.
Today he and Stigma were out and about, just going for a walk and looking around; Stigma, as it turned out, had wandered quite a bit before her latest... metamorphisis, but apparently comprehension differed between forms, and she was enthusiastic about seeing everything from a different viewpoint (namely, one that wasn't roughly ankle-level). She'd been fascinated by the aquarium, and he'd had a mild heart-attack when he realized that it seemed as though the fish could see her; at any rate, they gathered on the glass when she'd hovered a hand an inch from the glass, though he'd asked her to keep herself out of the actual tanks.
They'd left a short time ago, and were now taking a walk down the main avenue, passing the colorful overhanging canopy that marked the ice-cream shop, when Apathetic slowed; one of the customers sitting at the outdoor booths looked vaguely familiar. She was sitting with a young man and two cups of ice cream, and he paused a moment, trying to recall where he knew her from; Stigma stopped as well, standing beside him and looking up curiously.
"A-pa-pa?"

Ruriska continued to chat happily about the weather, Mr.Brown, Mrs. Yatsa Marago from last year and the television show that she had been watching last night. The shop staff were baffled and somewhat worried, while the manager was a trifle annoyed. All the other customers had wandered away, finding a young woman talking to thin air was a bit much for them to handle. Ruri never noticed, she simply licked at her ice cream and talked, like she rarely ever talked.
Nexi was the first to notice them. He stared for a second, brow wrinkled as he thought and then gave a shy smile when he finally recognized Apathy. "Ruri?" Catching her during a break in speech, Nexi pointed over to where Apathy and Stigma stood. Twisting around in her chair, Ruri licked a bit of ice cream of her lip and stared with almost the exact same expression as Nexi had earlier.
"Apathy?" She had been hoping she would see him again, so when she finally recognized him she broke out into a big delighted grin. Her gaze swept over to the young girl beside him, watching her curiously before moving back to Apathetic. "It's good to see you again."

"Oh! Ruriska, right?" Apathy gave a small shake of his head, grinning slightly. "It's good to see you, too... A friendly face is a good thing. Particularly a non-homicidal one." He moved over to them, Stigma following along with a smile as she recognized them, and said, "I guess this is Nexi, then? I see Stigma's not the only one to have... grown up, I guess." He kept his voice low and pleasant, so as not to alarm or draw notice from the other customers, and one got the feeling that he'd been having a lot of practice doing so; he indicated Stigma with a nod in her direction, and the semi-transparent girl gave a little curtsey, smiling brightly.
"Hi! I remember you two now," she said, bouncing slightly on her heels. "We met you in the park, right? And I danced with Nexi. That was fun." She gave a little laugh, and Apathy gave her a fond smile; she'd certainly managed to grow on him, hadn't she?
"We just came from the Aquarium," she added. "I liked the fishes. Fish?" She paused, glancing at Apathy, who shrugged. "Fishies," she finally said, tone decided.
"It's a nice day for a walk, right?" shrugged Apathetic, half-smiling. "Would it be okay if we shared the table?"

Ruriska nodded, confirming her identity, now looking at Stigma with even more interest that before. So she was the cute funny creatures all rolled into one? Put simply, she was adorable. "Yes... he's all... grown up." That was an interesting way of putting it. Ruri wasn't exactly sure how to describe Nexi's abrupt change in appearance.
"It's great to see you again... Stigma?" So in the end Apathy had given her a name. That small bit of knowledge made her quite happy, since the last time she had met him he had been slightly unhappy with the whole thing. Well, not unhappy, but she had got the feeling he wasn't entirely sure where his sanity was at. Obviously he was completely sane, but some people needed time to figure that out.
"Of course not! Take a seat."
Nexi, on his chair, was watching them all with a shy look on his face. "I remember dancing." He offered in a low voice, looking once at Ruri for support. "I like fishies too. I watched them on the television once."

Apathy pulled out a pair of chairs, one for himself and one for Stigma; as he took his seat, Stigma flounced into hers, turning her attention to Nexi. "You watch TV too?" she asked, as though thrilled to have found something else in common; her enthusiasm for her new stage in life was, apparently, all-inclusive. "I like the ones on Animal Planet," she said, swinging her legs over the edge of the chair. "A-pa-pa lets me watch them if he has to go out and he wants me to stay home, but I can't change the channels so sometimes it gets boring. But I like the ones with the fish." Stigma smiled at Nexi, whom she apparently considered a friend despite having previously met him before either one could talk, then asked, "Do you watch TV a lot?"
Apathy grinned, giving a small shrug as Stigma spoke with Nexi; to Ruri, he said, "I think she's glad that she found someone else she can talk to. Aside from me, and this crazy woman from a few days ago, no-one else can see or hear her. I guess, whatever else has changed, she's still invisible and whatnot to everyone else. Is it the same for Nexi, too?" and he nodded towards the young man, whom Stigma had now seated herself beside.

Apparently used to a person talking to him a few miles an hours, while pumping out different questions, Nexi simply sat and smiled until he got a chance to say something. Already he was coming out of his initial shyness. After all, he'd met Stigma when they were still just funny colourful things. They had a history together, no matter how small.
"No. I don't watch television much. Because Ruri doesn't. But she likes to write and argue with the people next door. The people next door have a really mean cat and it chased Ruri all over the place once until she hit it with a broom." Now that he had a chance to talk, he was simply pouring it all out. Nexi was happy to give oodles of information, despite the slightly embarrassed look on Ruriska's face.
"Er... yep. I think so. Yes, you're the only other person I know who can see him." Ruri never really thought about it, but now that she did, it did make some sense out of the funny looks she'd been getting lately. These last few days she'd given up the pretense of even looking normal, finding it was too much of a hassle.
"Would you like Nexi's ice cream? I don't think he's going to eat it."
