lol nothing really bad has happened as far as i can remember (im only a freshman so lol)
one of our snares did manage to get a hole in his top head, how he did it i have no idea. during fall season, the strap on one of my cymbals kept coming off like five times during the season, it started to get annoying after the 3rd time lol. luckily it didnt hapen during our shows lol, just once during a football game and the rest during practice lollol Marco (one of our tenors) said he managed to break the head of the bass drum im on now last winter season lol suppsedly he was hitting it with the butt end of the bass stick : P one of our suspended cymbals has a huge chucnk of it missing lol. our old set of bells (which thankfully dont use anymore) kept having the little pipes on the bottom (dont kno what theyre actually called) come off during practices lol.
never ahd a trriangle break b4, as far as i kno, and what do u mean by inverting the cymbals? and how the heck does that happen? lol
gotta love percussion

You heat the metal and (while wearing gloves, of course) bend the metal until it snaps. Or cut the metal if it's soft enough.
*shrugs*
I do enjoy the "pop!" sound cymbals make when you fix them after inverting them.

Our gong hates our section leader. It breaks off the string, traks him down, and lands on his foot.

Finally, a thread where our band problems aren't just mine...
Our xylophone keeps losing a wheel Mallets go missing When we borrow aux. stuff from the high school, it vanishes off the face of the earth The timpani has a pencil hole in it All but one of our snares is screwed up. The one is new... The vibes pedal kept falling off for about a week until Hartmetz fixed it by using a chimes mallet... And one key on the bell kit is rusty. Only one... I still wonder how that happened..
And the chimes are broken, the gong is dented, and yet, none of our triangles are screwed yet...
Inverting the cymbals? Isn't that where they get suctioned into reverse or something?
