Denahi was out from the den, near the closest wateringhole to priderock you could find. It was a hot day, filled with nasty gnat flies who flew over him to make the day seemingly miserable. One thing about Africa, it was a desert. This meant horrible heat, frigid winters. And having a dark colored pelt wasn't helping this situation either. The adult groaned, eyes preening opening to focus on the murkey water before him.

Latifu was lucky, had her mothers colour, her fathers markings, infact apart from her colour and gender she could have been a spitting image of her father.

"Daddy!" She trotted out happily, walking down to the waterhole where the dark pelt of her father was. She was happy to see her father, her wonderful father! Yes she loved him, shame that she was never really herself around him.

At the small calling, Denahi looked up. Latifu...his twin you could say, just with Rehani's coloring. The male nodded, instantly beginning to purr as he daughter moved towards him. When she was close enough, he nuzzled into her. "Sweetheart, you shouldn't be out on your own." He said to her softly, being a little overprotective of his daughter. Seeing as she looked like Hani, I think this is what made Nahi more protective over the little cub.

Latifu smiled as her father nuzzled her. "Father I can look after myself perfectly!" She smiled up at him, a small cute cub like smile that had to be the most adorable thing she could possibly do.

Latifu was a beauty, she knew it, she had also somehow picked up a split personality, one that was a mix of her older sister and older brother, however she had one over them, she knew how to be daddys little girl!

"Is that so?" Denahi snickered, nipping lightly at Lati's tail. "Where are your siblings anyway. Shouldn't you be off playing with them? Or perhaps one of the other little cubs around here?" There was a baby boom recently, so making friends should be real easy this time of year around the pridelands.

Latifu looked up at her father in a disapproving way. "Siblings are off somewhere, I dont know where." She smiled again and trotted about her father for a while, doing a random little dance of sorts.

"The other cubs around here are like... boring daddy." She smiled and looked up at him, "I want a new friend who isn't boring."
