"Lodgings will be easy to locate, wayfarers currently avoid Shoichi as there is no guarantee that they can enter." Hayaharu pointed out, smiling reassuringly at the fallen deity before returning her attention to the squirming bag - a few moments late, the small knight had poked his head out and was blinking rapidly.

"I dare say, shiny objects are not the only thing I express my love for." Onion replied, the bright smile never leaving his lips as he lifted up a small trinket that contained what appeared to be soot, "Take this for example! It seems the geisha carries gunpowder in her pocket!" He announced and dove back into the bag once more...leaving Aversham to quirk a brow in response to his antics. He knew Onion could be extremely smart and serious when it was called for but most of the time he came off as utterly ridiculous.

"But I must inform you Koniryu," Returning to the topic at hand, she turned her twinkling gaze towards him and chuckled, "The lodgings of Shoichi will have you sleeping only a foot off the ground at most." She pointed out gently, "We do not use the style of bed used further south." She finished before taking a few moments to consider Akiya's question.

"Not long I suspect, you will hear the train whistle when we arrive."

"I see..." Was all he really said at that point, since he could understand why people wouldn't try getting into the city. Without passes, there was truly no point, right? Her smile made him slightly relax but he was just tense to begin with, so he watched as the small knight poked his head out of her bag. He had always seen him as an interesting creature.

Akiya found him highly amusing and was grinning softly as he produced the trinket. In some ways, he didn't think it was gunpowder... but with Lady Hayaharu, who was used to doing things her own way, it wasn't exactly hard to see it being true. But whatever. Onion was so easily amused smetimes hehe. "I hope you don't get lost in there, Onion. I don't think Lady Hayaharu would like to find you suffocated or something in there, heh."

Koni's brow quirked a bit when she mentioned the beds and to that, he gave a light shrug. "If it's more like a futon underneath me, it's fine." Normally, he had loved to sleep on the ground but that was a long time ago and back at his old home. Since he had left it, he had found sleeping on the ground very much not to his tastes so he had adjusted to beds. "As long as there is padding, I shall be content." Plus, Reika loved to sleep on pillows nowadays.

Onion seemed to give a grunt from within the bank in response to Akiya. Initially it seemed to be completely non-committal but after a few minutes it seemed to become more squeaky. While alarm bells might have rang for some, Aversham simply rolled his eyes and with a rustle of feathers he dropped to the ground and wandered over to the bag - clearly, he was the sensible one of the pair.

"Onion, must I always have to remind you...?" He enquired coolly, shoving his head into the bag and pulling the poor knight out by his foot. "You -" He snapped his beak to readjust his grasp on the familiar, this serving only to jolt him about, "Should not -" Another jolt an Onion made a grab for his helmet...

"Explore a woman's -" Aversham dropped his companion by the bag and smacked him unceremoniously upside the head, "Bag." He finished, raising a brow as the knight leapt to his feet and dusted off his armour. "As it is a given that you will get lost." He added.

"Aw, my dear boy you simply no nothing!" Onion stomped his foot and then motioned to Akiya, "He knows! I could have escaped at any time - I was simply testing you young Squire!" He finished, puffing out his chest to emphasize the point. While others may have been unsettled by Aversham's peculiar glares...apparently this knight wasn't.

"Are we nearly there yet?" Aversham enquired as he flicked his gaze towards Hayaharu, who had lifted her bag and was inspecting the contents for damage. Just then, the whistle sounded.

"I should think so."

Akiya tilted his head a bit when the sounds changed to a sort of squeaking and he knew, at that moment, that he had gotten stuck. And he sincerely adored Onion, in his own way naturally, so he covered his snicker of amusement as Aversham got him out. Even though it was spoken as coolly as the bird could manage, he was still irritated with him. Not that he could completely blame him, but honestly? It was too amusing to not smile about. When he was brought into the conversation, he nodded, his smile growing in size. "Aye. If Onion wished to get out, he would have found a glorious way to free himself." Of course, he would have needed assistance, since Lady Hayaharu's bag was by no means small, but who was he to make Onion think he doubted his skills?

The shrill whistle blasted snapped Koni out of his light doze and Reika out of her dead sleep, both of their heads jolting up at the exact same time. For Koni, it didn't really bother much to wake up from a doze, but for Reika.. well, first, the sound was loud to her and it made her unhappy. Add in the fact she had been sobbing not too long ago, her head was pounding furiously and everything was spinning. Even while her moomba licked gently at her cheek, she rubbed at her temples with her tiny fingers before patting him absently on top of her head. But she didn't say anything, only pressed her lips together and looked around. Had they arrived already?

The sounds of someone shifting in their seat caused her to glance up in time to see Akiya leaning closer to her with a small smile. "Sleep well, little one?" He only got a shrug in answer since she didn't feel like she slept well at all. "Well, we're off of this train for awhile. Some fresh air would be nice, I'm thinking." Did it concern him that she just stared at him and then outside? Yeah, it bothered him, even though he did know why she was acting like that. Koni only stroked her head lightly but he didn't tell her to speak or make her do anything that she didn't want to do. Shockingly enough, he wasn't attempting to say anything rude about Aversham or glaring at him, he just looked a bit tired. But whether it was from his nap or something else, the angel couldn't be positive of such a thing. Clearing his throat a bit, he stood up and stretched, feeling his shoulders pop a bit. "Now to find lodgings right? No offense, but I'd like to take a bath heh."

Well...It was certainly refreshing for the bird to not be subject to the criticising glare of the over protective summoner. Actually, it made him rather more comfortable in the given circumstances and he made little protest at Onion's activities. Now that the knight was suitably happy with his attire again, he had turned his attention to mounting his 'steed' and was making a considerable amount of noise.

Between the clank of his armour, his own grumbles and the brief yet barely audible hisses of Aversham he clearly wasn't making short work of it. Tugging repeatedly on the whisker-like feathers atop the bird's head didn't help either, if anything it made things worse.

"You are aware that asking -" Aversham winced and promptly ducked his beak towards the floor to lower himself. It made him become well withing Onion's reach, "Me to bow would have been much easier." He pointed out, 'hmphing' slightly as Onion finally perched on his back. That done, the bird straightened once more and began to 'waddle' towards the door.

Hayaharu merely smiled at the pair's antics. Clearly the claustophobic conditions had done nothing for them or perhaps Aversham had taken a new outlook on things. Regardless, the geisha refrained from commenting as she picked up her own bag and the peculiar suitcase she had been given. All in all, she looked rather odd given that Geisha very rarely carried their own things but alas...she seemed to have misplaced her maid.

"Lodgings will be easy to find." She assured the men as she opened the door and slipped out with her cases, stepping out onto the platform that lay just opposite the towering Merchant Gates.
