Mai fell to the ground and passed out. He expended too much chakra in his training and it left him weak.

Mai soon woke up...after a days sleep. He had been really exhausted. "I wonder how Rin is doing in the chuunin exams" he whispered as he climbed to his feet. "I should go and show support."

Mai entered the forest with one apparent purpose, to train like never before. Everyone was still in the Village, either participating in the Event, or watching the event that was being held. This meant he could train in ppeace, but at the same time it would mean that if he got into trouble, he would have no one to turn too. "Alright, let's begin."

Mai eventually found a clearing where he decided he could adequately train. He dropped his things and grabbed a roll of cloth out of one of his sacks. He slowly began wrapping his hands and his feet. He placed the remaining cloth back in the sack and took a stance facing a tree.
