I'f we're ignoring over-all favourite characters... as that has been done a billion times, you might as well just stamp it on your avi's forehead... I'm going to have to say Rufus.
He's a machiavellian hero in AC; killing several birds with one stone. Although he lost the head, one has to wonder if he did not keep a little aside for whatever nefarious purposes he planned for it.
He not only shows himself in a good light to the people, to Cloud and co, and to some fans he also played his enemies off against each other. And now they work for him ((WRO))?! What's up with that?
