Ummmm... I would make your statement "nothing = something" into a scientific point : In fact, even in the most pushed physical void, there's always energy. And soon we will define the quality of void by the energy density in the volume. And since energy means some mass ( E=mc2 ), yes you're right : "nothing = something"

What a great example of Diabolical logic (or Diabologic if you prefer) meant to confuse one's enemies into a non-functional mass, rendering them easy for take over.
But does Nothing from Nothing leave Nothing?

Chief Chaos What a great example of Diabolical logic (or Diabologic if you prefer) meant to confuse one's enemies into a non-functional mass, rendering them easy for take over. But does Nothing from Nothing leave Nothing? Or does it leave more of something else? I call it....SUPER-NOTHING!

Maybe it leaves anti-nothing? Wouldn't that be something?
If I gave it all If I traded it all away for one thing Wouldn't that be something?
Well I know I know, Yes I know I Know Well I know I know I just hate how it sounds

Spirit_of_Yarn I had a random though a few weeks ago. What is nothing? Most dictonaries state it as: The absense of something, or some variation of that. But, when you start thinking about it cant there ever be nothing of something? Because in the grand scheme of everything, there will alway be molicules of the remains of dinosours, or, if something hasn't been invented yet, the marterials to make the object. Even in space there isn't nothing, there are gasses and particules. Does that mean that there's alway something of everything? Just a thought^^. Just thought I'd add something . . . you mention that even in space there isn't nothing. Not entirely true. Sure, there's random particles of gas and nebulae, planets..solar systems all that junk most of space is just an empty void..nothing...pitch black absolute nothingness sad

I think you should ask Mr. Doucette. Before he snaps and kills everyone.

to me nothing means the absence of everything... when you look at specifics like what is dark/ an absence of light you don't consider the rest.. absolutly 100% nothing in any certain amount of space can't exist as stated earlier... it is purely theoretical... alot like a frictionless surface
