Kep Enderby Q.C., former Supreme Court judge and former Attorney General in the Australian federal government, makes the case for Esperanto, an international language that was launched more than 100 years ago in the hope that it would help to solve the world's language communication problem.

Dear Friend,

When did you last visit the Esperanto House in Redfern?

Last year, our volunteers worked hard to renovate the House, and to
give us a proper, beautiful, modern venue for our meetings, courses
and events. The results of their labour are indeed visible, and worth
admiring, in our House.

I wholeheartedly invite you to (re)visit our House! The Esperanto
House is regularly open every week on Thursdays, from 6:30pm. Other
volunteers help in the House during the week, at irregular times, and
if you wish to visit the House at another special time, this can be
arranged — just call the House (02 9319 4775).

During the next 2 weeks, we will give you an even better reason to
visit the House: 2 special presentations from internationally famous
Esperantists. The presentations are aimed not only at Esperantists,
but also at those totally new to Esperanto. If you have friends or
family who are interested in Esperanto, this will be a good occasion
to introduce them to them to the language, in a friendly group, and
wonderful atmosphere!

There is however another piece of news about the House worth
mentioning. Soon, 2 new Esperanto courses will start at the Esperanto
House (see details in attached leaflet). These courses are an
essential part of our movement, as it is through them that new
Esperantists are born, and we then guarantee the success of Esperanto
itself. Therefore, I ask you, that you let all your friends know
about our courses, and that you encourage them to enrol. Our courses
will indeed be taught profesionally, using motivational, modern
direct communicative methodologies.

Last of all, I would like to as you another question: when did YOU
last study Esperanto? — conider, that perhaps you yourself should
enrol in one of the 2 worthwhile courses!

Kiam vi laste vizitis la Esperanto-Domon en Redfern?

Lastan jaron, niaj volontuloj vigle laboris por renovigi la Domon,
kaj doni al ni taŭgan, belan, modernan ejon por niaj rekontiĝoj,
kursoj kaj eventoj. La rezultoj de ilia laboro ja estas videblaj, kaj
admirindaj en nia Domo.

Mi tutkore invitas vin (re)viziti nian Domon! La Esperanto Domo estas
regule malferma ĉiu semajne ĵaŭde, de la 6:30ptm. Aliaj volontuloj
helpas en la Domo dum la semajno, je ne regula horaro, kaj tial, se
oni deziras viziti la Domon je alia speciala horo, tio ankaŭ estas
aranĝebla — simple telefonu la Domon (02 9319 4775).

Dum la sekvontaj 2 semajnoj, ni donos al vi eĉ pli bonan kialon por
viziti la Domon: 2 specialajn prelegojn de internacie famaj
Esperantistoj. La prelegoj celos ne nur Esperantistojn, sed ankaŭ
komencantojn, kaj homojn tute novaj al Esperanto. Se vi havas
geamikojn aŭ familianojn, kiujn interesas Esperanto, tiuj estos bonaj
okazoj por prezenti la lingvon al ili, en amika grupo, kaj mirinda
etoso!

Estas tamen alia menciinda novaĵo pri nia Domo. Baldaŭ, 2 novaj
kursoj de Esperanto kiuj komenciĝos en la Esperanto Domo (vidu
detalojn en kunmetita flugfolio). Tiaj kursoj estas esencaj partoj de
nia movado, ĉar per ili novaj Esperantistoj nakiĝas, kaj ni
garantias la sukceson de Esperanto mem. Tial, mi petas al vi, ke vi
informu viajn geamikojn pri la kursoj, kaj kuraĝigu ilin
enregistriĝi. Niaj kursoj ja estos profesie instruitaj, per
entuziasmigaj modernaj rektaj kaj komunikadaj metodologioj.

Laste, mi volas fari al vi alian demandon: kiam VI laste studis
Esperanton? — konsideru, ĉu eble vi mem registriĝu en unu el la 2
valoraj kursoj!

I have booked my accomidation for teh Esperanot Universal Congress in Yokohama in August
as well as having paid and booked for the International Youth Congress in Vietnam !

Just spent 2 weeks in Vietnam and Japan using E-o.. had a ball!
