Ashura
Ashura
Imena tumbled down the temple steps and into the courtyard, her small body rocketing forward. The sooner she became tired, the sooner she could see Skye and the others. Sage had grown a bit and he was a little goldmine of intellectual information. She skidded to a halt and looked back at the top of the steps where Ashura stood. She panted for air, her chest heaving and smiled up at him, he was like an older brother to her and she found that experience infinitely fun.
Ashura stood at the top of the steps watching the little Malu with amused eyes. It was hard to believe a girl with such a distant personality, could have so much energy. He enjoyed caring for the little one, she never let him have a moments peace which kept his mind off of bad memories. Slowly, his wings folded onto his back, he looked around the courtyard. He hadn't seen any others except for a few glimpses after he came here. Though Imena was certainly interesting, the rest of the place was becoming...rather boring without someone else to talk to....

Chael
"My....She sure has a lot of Energy."
Chael spoke softly as his rather bright form moved from the grasps of the shadows behind him. He took a few steps foreward to stand beside the dark red Malu with one of his ever present smiles stuck on his muzzle. Multi fascited blue eues gazed upon the young one below, as his wings folded neatly along his back. Turning his head lightly to gaze upon the other Malu, Chael bowed his head slightly in greetings.
"I am often quite envious of the young Malu's speed around here, like a few other youth I know. My name is Chael...I don't believe i've seen either of you around here before...?"

Larangi
Nearby a black and white Malu lingered, her attentive blue eyes scanning her surroundings. It was ironic, in a way, that such a pair of deeply colored eyes could refuse to take in color. But, alas, that was reality, the only reality Larangi had ever known.
In black and white her blue eyes perceived others who had gathered here. Two big Malus, and a small one. The colorblind female stepped forward out from the shadows and into the sunlight, her small paws making nearly inaudiable pitter-patter sounds as they carried her across the hard temple floor. "Hello...." she whispered.

Mahli
A pair of blue-ish eyes were looking at the others from behind a bush. The female Malu folded her wings back quietly and she wagged her tail from the excitement. She had never met these Malu before and wondered who they were. A smile spread across her face as the first Malu came closer to her own hideout. She got ready and jumped out of the bushes landing behind the other Malu.
"Boo!" Mahli screamed. She immediately started laughing and sat down on the ground. Wiping off a tear from her cheek using her paw she looked at the others and smiled. "Hi, I'm Mahli the Malu." She giggled at what she had just said. "And who're you guys?"

Larkin
There was something infinitely thrilling about running across the desert. Larkin enjoyed it even more now that he had grown and he could go faster. The sand was always burning hot, and the wind was never too cold. Now he was returning to the temple to take a nap in a sunny spot somewhere. The desert was nice for running, but if he slept out there he always woke up covered with sand from nose to tail.
He was not surprised to come upon a group of Malu he'd never met before. After all, he spent little time socializing. But he spotted Chael, one of the few Malu he did know, and trotted over to him with a lazy smile.

Tethys
Tethys was still a baby. Her little blue body had not yet grown accustomed to the life she had been given. Her mother was gone. Where had she gone anyways? Leaving the baby by herself, in a world far beyond scary. Her little eyes scanned the area. She was alone.

While waiting for the One male to reply, a sinking feeling fell in Chael's chest. Something Bad was going to happen.....but what? Turning his head slightly, his eyes caught a second too late a female jumping out of the bush with a quick 'Boo!'
'ACK!' Chael yelped, skuttering back as once again the hairs on his neck poofed out from the startle. Breathing deeply to calm his racing heart, yet he smiled in a sheepish mannor. "Nice to meet you, Mahli. I'm Chael." He chuckled, before a little voice caught his attention, gazing down at the little black and white femme with the amazing blue eyes. "Hello there little one." He spoke softly, wings regaining composeur and folding against his back.
Noticing another Malu out of the corner of his eyes, his sight landed on an older Malu. His look was like fire, something about him was all too familiar...yet it hit him when the male was walking towards him with a lazy and relaxed smile on his lips. "Larkin? Is that you? Wow...you've grown since I've last seen you..." Chael grinned lightly, although their gods were rather...opposite, Chael still paid good will towards the other male, just because he was opposed to heat did not mean he was opposed to Larkin in the slightest. "How have you been?"
His senses picked up one more detail about the newly growing gathering of Malu....a baby, just a few meters away looking rather alone and scared. His gaze softened as he remembered back to his own childhood here in the temple, and with a bow of his head to the other Malu, he excused himself for a moment. Slowly walking over to the child, he bent his head down and gazed at her with a warm and gentle smile. "Hey there...are you lost?"

The little blue female gazed upon the soft eyes of the other. He was the color of teal-mint green, and he had the neatest things on his back. She wasnt sure what they would be called. Did she have them? Her eyes, though closed most of the time, brightened, and she offered her own gentle smile. A childlike smile of innocence that others cannot achieve no matter how hard they try.
"Hewwo."

Ashura's head jerked sharply in the direction of the voice. His orange eyes took in the light blue malu and he shrugged, flipping one of his wings in and out to settle it in a better position. He paused, watching others suddenly appear around the courtyard in amusement, apparently the gods had heard him...
"I am Ashura, I arrived about a fortnight ago." He motioned toward Imena with a paw, "That's Imena. She's always running about."
His internal conditioning refused to make his body react in response to a female malu suddenly jumping out behind them, but he did c**k his head back at her, his wings mantling a bit, "A pleasure, Mahli." He spoke pleasantly, smiling genailly, "And may I ask who you are?" he asked at the newest addition to the party, a purple-like malu with antlers and large wings like his own. He raised an eyebrow as he caught a glimpse of Chael walking over to a young baby malu, but didn't comment. It wasn't his business.
Imena's ears perked as she saw three other malu appear near Ashura. She stared at them, having never seen them before. She pondered going over to meet them but her latent shyness, that suddenly appeared when she saw so many others made her hesitate in her steps. She breathed in deeply and caught the scent of the others, drinking it in. One ear flicked backwards having caught a faint whisper of sound. She turned her head and caught sight of another malu, looking to be the same age as her, she smiled kindly. One malu, she could handle.
"Hello." She greeted, nodding her head, "Who are you? I'm Imena."

A startled Larangi lept back, and glancing around frantically, spotted what the intrusion had been. It was another Malu of course, this a female one with a high-pitched, giggly voice. Her name was Mahli, she soon learned. "Hello Mahli," the little black and white femme murmured with a weak smile, still recovering from the sheer shock.
To the bigger, but calmer male Larangi responded more eloquantly, "It's a pleasure to meet you Chael, my name is Larangi." She bowed her head down slighted and nodded, a salutary gesture Larangi had adopted over her days.
More Malu were joining them by the minute, there was even a baby. To all this the colorblind female observed with an intelligent eye, wondering if others were soon to join them.

This little female sure was cute, her innocent smile, the tiny voice...She slightly reminded him of Enoa when he met her as just a baby. Of course, this little femme had quite the intricate of designs on her pelt....just a colourful blue compared to his own more pale hues. Tilting his head slightly, his eyes wandered around for a moment as he was curious if her mother was about. Yet as he knew very well, many Malu here did not have parents, having been dropped off over time, or found others to care for them...much like Loki was doing now.
"Are you alone here? My name is Chael.."
He spoke lightly, moving to lay down infront of the little one as to not seem so big and towering over her.

"Looks like I have," Larkin replied proudly to Chael's remark about his growth, his smile broadening. He looked around passively at the various Malu.
Hearing Ashura address him he turned and said, "Larkin." His smile returned briefly and moved a little to get out from under the shadow of the temple walls, then sat back on his haunches, glancing up at the sun with his eyes half-hooded and enjoying its rays on his upturned face, paying little heed to the others around him.

Mahli sat still on the the ground watching all the others when she was greeted by Larangi and she turned her head in the other's direction. "Hi! Were you startled?" A proud smile spread across Mahli's face and she held her head high for a moment. "Nice to meet you. It sure is a lot of Malu here today." She looked around at the others with an excited look on her face.
Mahli got up on her feet and stretched her body before walking towards some water not far from the others. She lowered her head and drank some of it, feeling less thirsty as she did. She then turned back to the others again and trotted back. She stopped as she reached Larkin and looked at him. "Wow, aren't you a colorful one." She giggled and smiled.

Shifting his gaze from the sky to Mahli, Larkin shrugged with a little toss of his head. "I guess I am." His wings spread out and settled again. Fire was in his coloring as it was in his blood. "And you've got spots," he pointed out, not sure where this conversation was going.

"I sure was," Larangi nodded to Mahli, her heart still beating at an above normal rate. "Oh don't look so happy," the black and white female wrinkled her nose and added rather crossly, "You'll scare someone to death one of these days." Larangi for one was a Malu of a quiet nature, and any and all kinds of loud noises were especially frightful to her.

Mahli laughed at Larkin's reply and tossed her tuft of hair back. "Yeah, I do!" Mahli answered. She turned her head to see her own side and giggled, then decided to see if anything interesting was happening somewhere.
She walked towards Larangi once more, smiling as she came closer. "So..." Mahli looked at the other Malu and then back to Larangi again. "..do you know anyone here? I don't." For once Mahli didn't smile, she looked a bit sad actually. "Not that it matters.." She quickly gave Larangi a fake smile to hide how she felt.
"Hehe, I hope I won't scare anyone to death, but it's not like I'm scaring babies or really old Malu." She giggled and wagged her tail, clearlt satisfied with how her so called attack earlier went.

"Well, you do know us now, do you not?" Chael spoke as he returned to the others, sitting down alongside Larangi and Mahli. "Therefore, you do know others." Folding his wings against his back as it had become a habit when he sat, the Arctic male glanced between the two females. It was strange how many Malu appeared now that he was an adult...the temple had been so empty when he was a child.
"So, how are you both today?" He inquired, not really knowing a fascinating topic to discuss, so he just descided on some basic small talk.

"Mmmm," Larangi mumbled to herself as she glanced around, trying to pick out any familiar figures she would have met before, and finding none, shook her head at Mahli. "Nope, I don't know anyone either."
"But that's ok," the black and white malu added after a moment, nodding to Chael who had settled down next to them. "I'm good," she responded to the male Malu, "Are you good too?"

After hearing both Chael and Larangi speak, Mahli felt a bit better. She looked at Chael and smiled warmly. "I'm great!" Mahli looked like a kid on Christmas Day, her eyes glistering in the light. She was just about to ask how he was but found that Larangi had already asked and decided to wait for the respond to her question instead of asking it again.
