Karma laughed. "Well, at least both have a costume." She plucked at her silver-designed green shirt. "I couldn't think of anything to wear. Hopefully I'll be able to find one at my house before the kids arrive there."

Faust's eyes dilated as Tayte explained. "A snake charmer?" The reindeer-ptarmigan Aerandir smiled. "Thasso cool!" The child's ears perked as he began to play the flute. The music sounded so pretty! And then 'Yauf' sang too! Her voice was so smooth and it was pretty as well! "Wooooow! Thass awesome n' real pretty!"
Distracted from the ermine Aerandir and 'Yauf' Faust looked at Kala and nodded his head frantically, a wide vampire-tooth bearing smile set on his tan face. "Yeah yeah!" Squeezing his new friend's hand, he looked over at Makai, "You coming?" Faust asked, shifting his bag to his other hand.

Watching as Faust interacted with the other kids, a growing smile slid onto her face. Her little baby was growing up so fast.

"Uh-huh!" He may not have understood all that Kala said, but he caught run and door and that was enough for him. Makai bobbed his head enthusiastically, so much, in fact, that his goggles slid down his face and caused his armor to jangle and squeak. Two invitations, how could he say no? He hustled up and took hold of Kala's hand, grinning broadly at her and Faust.

Wyv said, "Ha, long as everbody's havin' fun, costumes don't matter." And she meant it. It really was worth it, just to have everyone, kids and guardians alike, sociallize a bit.

After knocking, Nehanda turned around to look at the rest of the group as they approached the porch. mShe raised a hand to swipe absently at Cerise, keeping the cat-parrot from attaching the flowers in her hair. "Cut that out, brat. Go play with your new friends."

With a sniff and a hiss, Cerise flew off to circle around Faust, Kala, and Makai. She dove half-heartedly at one of the bright feathers Makai wore, wanting their attention.

Fae smiled, and as she opened the door, she welcomed them with the candy bowl. "Happy Halloween everyone!" Peering around the crowd, she began to drop colorfully wrapped candy into each Aerandir's little bag. "Oh my, we have a variety of costumes this year," she noticed.

Pueblo appeared behind Fae, tail swishing. "Hi everyone! Happy Halloween," she said as she pushed her way outside. Glancing around, she looked at everyone's costumes. They were all so interesting!

"Wait for me!" a young voice sounded from the house. Zanzibar came running out of the house, his little sheet flowing around his knees. The only thing that anyone could see were his wings, ears, feet and tail. The rest of his body was concealed by the sheet.

"Don't worry," Fae chuckled. "They're not going anywhere without you. So did I get everyone?" she asked the crowd. It was swimming with uniqueness and hard to tell who she gave candy to yet.

The sound of the doorknob clicking just about made little Tayte pass out from excitement. He was going to get sweets to put in his bag! He snatched the bag from his belt quickly and held it out, so excited he couldn't breathe. Instead of shouting 'trick-or-treat' like everyone else, he could only gurgle something in the back of his throat.

It was no wonder that Fae had to crane around to see the rest of the children, considering how much of the door-frame the ridiculous-looking Dennis the Duck costume filled. The man's face glowed from within the beak, and he immediately held out his bag and gave a startingly good impression of the character's trademark obnoxious voice, "Happyyy Hyalloween!" The bag he proffered was no less than a Power-Force body-sized pillow case.

Flanked by her two new best friends in the world, Kala quickly gibbered "readysetgo!" and dragged the boys behind her. Her hard hooves cut through the sand with ease, skinny legs pumping madly. Her grip on the boys' hands slowed her down a bit, but she didn't care. Man, she loved to run!

She came to an abrupt halt, just before plowing into David's over-sized Dennis the Duck rear end. Her panting made her stuttering voice completely unintelligible, but Yaraif more than made up for it by singing out "TRICK-OR-TREAT!" in her adorably childish fey voice. Kala released the hands she'd been holding to breathlessly proffer the satchel she carried.

"Tri--hick...ertre--eat..." she gasped, her face glowing with excitement.

"Whoa~!" Makai grinned at Kala, then at Cerise. "You're a pretty one. Lika sunset ona sea." Lacking a free hand with which to pet the gryphon, Makai settled on flattery instead. A twitch of his head sent the feathers bobbing and jerking. "Jus' try not to rip 'em okie?"

But then they were off an' running, as Kala pulled him along. He caught his momentum and was soon pounding along next to her and Faust. As he saw Fae, he cried out, "Trickertreat!" and beamed wildly as she deposited candy in his bag! His first bit of Halloween candy! Wow. He wondered what it tasted like, but knew he'd have to wait. This was only the first stop, after all. More! He couldn't wait. "Dey's pretty," he told Kala and Faust.

At that moment, Makai saw Zanzibar. "I know what you are!" he cried, bouncing in excitement. "Yous a ghostie!" He was so happy to finally recognize a costume. Halloween was like the best game ever, he decided.

Karma grinned, "That's true. It's practically the entire point of Halloween -at least it is nowadays."

Faust shot a smile back at Makai, and gave Kala one as well. Clutching his bag tightly so that it wouldn't fall, the boy raced forward, slightly slower than Kala -granted- but still at a rather fast pace. Faust laughed as the cool air rushed past him, glad that his new friends didn't have any problems with running.

As the trio of Aerandir children arrived at the doorstep, Faust quickly abandoned Kala's hand so that he could spread open his shiney bag. Faust apparently hadn't been informed about all of Halloween's accepted ettiquitte, as the Reindeer-Ptarmigan boy merely held out his bag, eager to try the infamous 'caaa-n'-deee' he had heard all about. However, as varying calls of "Trick-or-treat" rung from his friends mouths, his creamy ears perked up against his black-painted antlers.

Deciding not to be the only one not going along with this assumed tradition, Faust gave it his best shot at imitating what his friends had belted out, and managed to get away with a loud, "Ricker Treed!"

Faust's eyes grew wide as a few candies wrapped in foil landed in his bag, dispensed by a lady who was -from that point on- deemed in his mind, the "Caa n' Dee Laydee". A small hand quickly shot deep into his bag and returned with a single wrapped candy pinched between two fingers.

Nodding towards Makai, Faust agreed. "Uh-huh!" Glancing around at Kala, Makai and Tayte, the boy asked, "So wha'd'you get?" He was curious if the four of them had all gotten the same treats or if there were different types.

Suddenly stiffening, the boy twirled around on his hooves and darted up to Fae. He had been about to forget "One of the most important things in life"! Giving a slight bow, Faust looked up at the tall lady and, reisiting the urge to comment on her being so tall, he smiled and recited, "S'ankyou!" before returning to his friends. When his did, though Faust noticed a new face -well, sheet-covered face- and gave Zanzibar a wave and an energetic "'Ello!"

"Pueblo!" Nehanda maneuvered her way around the crowd of children holding out their treat bags so that she could throw an arm around her friend. "I feel like I haven't seen you in ages! And just look at Pie!" Well, not that she could actually see that much of him. But no matter. He'd transformed!

"So, are you going to stick around for a little while?" She looked pleadingly at Pueblo. After all, it was sort of weird to be the oldest Aerandir in the group.

A sunset on the sea, huh? Cerise dove in among the children and settled on Makei's shoulder smugly, where she gave a small puuuurrrr over the poetic compliment. This kid with the neat hair and feathers was her new best friend. She gave one of the feathers a gentle tug. For compliments like that one, she'd even resist ripping things!

((Okay. Progolo said he was busy, so I think Ourania/Nathaniel's house should be next. Assuming you're free, Ourania!))
