In order to make everyone's experience in our guild more pleasant, we have come up with some rules and guidelines that we ask everyone to follow. These rules were originally created by Yami Baku and altered by Lithanus. I would also like to thank Yami for her help with our guild. Now, please read everything because you will be held responsible for doing so. Also, keep in mind our main focus here is to have a comfortable place to enjoy the company of those who are interested in Jesus Christ and walking in His footsteps.

WFC Posting/Thread Creation Guidelines:
Thread Creation Guidelines
-No repeat threads. Please examine the current threads before making a new one. Repeat threads will be locked on most cases [threads branching off the same topic are okay]. The only reason for a repeat thread NOT to be locked is that the original thread has become very big, and a new thread should be created to cut the discussion amount in half.
-No advertisment threads. If you want to sell something, go to the Gaian exchange. If you want donations, go to the Gaian charity. [If the advertisment is a fundraiser for this guild, please state so and it will be permitted.]
-Question threads are okay, but once the question has been answered, the thread will be locked and deleted. I might even make a question thread eventually.
Posting Guidelines
-Be nice to other posters. If you disagree, it's okay to debate/discuss the situation. However, flaming is not permitted here.
-No name calling. This goes with the rule mentioned above.
-No trolling. Trolling is when you provoke large volumes of responses by posting absurdities, deliberately offensive insults, etc.
-No spamming! [with the exception of chatroom-like threads, which were made for that purpose] The WFC doesn't needed to be flooded with advertisements [buy my fox ears!] or pointless posts [lalalala].
-No advertising! Please advertise your products [whether real, or Gaian items] in the Gaian Exchange. Advertising for the benefit of the guild [fundraisers] are accepted.
-Respect people's privacy. Do not post phone numbers, home addresses, pictures, etc., without permission.
-Post on topic. Don't make a perfectly good topic into a chatroom. [Even if what you have to say isn't spam!]
As a side note, please keep any denominational conversation in the Bible Studies and Discussion sub-forum, in the appropriate threads if they exist. The Fellowship Hall should be a place where we can be comfortable in our similarities as part the body of Christ.

Moving/Deleting threads:
The mods of this guild and I will be responsible for cleaning up the guild and will move/delete threads as soon as the second page is filling up in the main forum. Threads will be moved to the appropriate sub-forum or deleted if they have few responses or are no longer necessary. If you feel that a thread should or should not be moved to a specific place just let me know and I will do my best to take care of it.

For the sake of the Guild:
-Keep the guild clean. This is an Christian guild post accordingly.
-We want to Protect your rights. We want to prevent any bashing/hurting of feelings. Also, we do not want personal rights violated.
The Power of the Mods:
They can:
- Lock threads.
- Delete threads.
- Warn you if you've done wrong.
They cannot [without consent of the mod board]:
- Ban you from the guild.
- Lock your thread for no reason.
- Delete your thread for no reason.
- Edit your thread [change the main post] without your consent.

Please adhere to these guidelines, this is so that everyone can have an enjoyable experience here. If you see any of these rules being broken you may PM a mod about it so that they may take care of it. Also please remember that we do have sub-forums and they should not be forgotten!
But most of all, have fun and enjoy our Christian fellowship. biggrin

Hmm..maybe you could make a sticky for some important spiritual question that others could learn from; not only to avoid having certain people post the same questions again, but also just for people's knowledge and growth in general

This may be a late response, but I think that is a great idea. I think I will have enough time this semester to do that, and who knows if I need to I might even throw in a table of contents too. biggrin
