Levi yawned, not trying to be rude, but genuinely starting to relax after a whole day of walking. His earrings chimed as he shook his dreads like a drying dog. "Nope!" He sure didn't! Didn't mind talking about it though.
Figuring it would be okay to take just one more piece of bread, Levi helped himself...picking at it a bit slower. He'd been hungrier than he thought!

"This is not the first time Elle, or I for that matter, have lived. She has... bad memories of the inbetween. She's afraid of loosing those she cares for. By not at least checking and telling her you're alright you are hurting her. Badly." He felt he could speak to that part of Elle, knowing how she never really wanted to stray far even with him in one place and her family in another.
Hearing the boy move he pushed the plate closer to him, as well as the jar. If he needed a full belly, so be it.
"I have a proposal for you." Maybe a middle ground would work.

Levi happily finished off the piece of bread and set to work making a little something else...nodding again to Lonan in thanks with a clink of gold hoops. He was beginning to see where the guy was going with all this, and it worried him just a touch. If he checked in, Elle and Aki would almost certainly tell him to come home.
"Eh, not hurtin' 'er! She thinks I'm with Mik!" Levi froze, new mini sandwich halfway to his mouth. Oops. Quick, distraction! "But I'll hear y' out!"

"And when she finds out otherwise? That will lead to nightmares and worry of a much greater degree."
Letting the boy get settled back into eatting he thought his next words over.
"A place. Here, at the Hollow. A room, or a space in the barn if you don't want to live in the main house, and food inexchange for you helping take care of the animals. You'll only need to tell Drac when you need more of something. This way, you aren't forced to return home and I know Elle won't fret anywhere near as much. Acceptable?"

Levi's brows furrowed, and he ate in silence as he considered it. Fair deal, in his favor no less...part of him screamed to accept it! How cool, a place away from Aki! However...
"Like bein there, but...needa earn cash! Gonna buy a boat." This was turning into a lengthy explanation. "Outta chores t'do there, so, I find new places!" He glanced toward the other pouch on his belt, before realizing his belt had been dragged along with his clothes. That concerned him a touch, but he didn't stir.
"Y'let me go out, every other day, t'do chores in town fer money...without worryin' Elle? Now that be a compromise!" He grinned disarmingly to show that he was indeed grateful for the offer. It was in his nature to haggle!

"I'll do one better. Since her son moved away Drac's having a hard time taking care of all the animals on her own. She might be willing to hire you for it. It would still leave time for you to find work in town if need be. Agreed?"
This was the best solution he could come up with. A faint whistle to Sonata and she shot off to the main house, presumably to collect Drac.

Shoving the last bite into his mouth, Levi sized Lonan up with a sidelong glance. He'd had no intention of revealing his whereabouts to Elle or Aki for a good long time...but Lonan was rather persuasive.
"N' no bedtime!" Brushing his hand on the leg of his borrowed pants briskly, Levi stuck it forward for a shake. "Y'got a deal!" He was good with animals...Aki had horses and chickens and bunnies at her island house, he'd helped care for them before!
Smiling freely once again, Levi harrumphed a laugh. "I preesheate it, see why Elle wants y' to be family!" He ruined the sentiment a bit by burping, but the young pirate didn't notice.

Lonana gave a small nod. Somehow he managede to hide his surprise that Elle wanted him to be family.
Still, he should ahve really been surprised and chided himself for it.
He ignored the burp, rising to answer the knock on the door. Stepping back he let the woman in.
"Everything alright? Oh! Hello, I'm Drac." The woman smiled, ears forwad and hand outstretched to the young pirate.

Levi stood as soon as he heard a ladies voice, one arm folded across his middle in a reflexive jaunty bow. He paused when he got a good look at her, eyes finally settling on her outstretched hand. His eyes squished shut a bit as his grin blossomed.
"Levi! Pleasure~." His dreads swung as he inclined his head, the final part of his handclasp.
The lad was defined for someone so young, build obvious since he wore little more than pajama pants. His ribs showed a bit too clearly for Aki's liking, and that was well over two weeks ago...something that a nurturing eye would notice.
The remnants of his eye makeup and golden earrings marked him pretty clearly, but his smile was open and honest as he let go of her hand. "Lookin' for a spot of work, if y'have it!" And a few other things, like a roof and food, his large blue eyes said.

Drac smiled and shook the hand. She was not one for idle lines herself, being fit from her work. She looked rather glad at the offer for help around the place. By herself it seemed to be much more work than she remembered.
Lonan twitched a wing, catching Drac's eye. "He has been worrying Elle and Aki."
In an instant her ears were back, tail poofed out and a maternal glare on her features. "Well then, you'll have work here and damned well live here. And you can earn some cash too. Just make sure I know you've been here since the animals won't ahve been fed if you aren't!"
There was little argueing to be had with the look in those grey eyes.
Lonan managed to stiffle a snicker.

"Yes'm!" The answer was out before Levi had time to reconsider it. His look of surprise gradually relaxed into a smile once again. "Won't lettem go hungry, m'word!"
Glancing sidelong to Lonan, Levi seemed to catch the almost snicker. "An' I ain't worryin' them yet." He turned his smile back to Drac, hoping he looked a touch innocent. "That part be happenin' when I use yer phone."

Drac just cocked an eyebrow and the corrsponding ear. "That look might have worked before I had my son. Now, the phone is in the main house. You can take one of the guest rooms and we'll figure out everything else in the morning. Clear?"
It was pretty obvious that it better damn well be clear.
Lonan was trying not to enjoy someone else on the recieving end of Momma Dragon for once. Really he was.
"Call them, let them know you're alright. I'll send a letter to Elle myself. Sonata can take it up if she's willing."
The wolf whuffed in agreement.

Hands in the pockets of his borrowed pants, Levi gave Drac a single nod and lopsided smile before strolling for the door. "Sure.Thanks fer th' grub!" He'd eaten a good bit, and the last of the warmth from the shower was making him sleepy. Maybe he'd check out that room, after the call.
Egads, the call. This wasn't going to be fun. He opened his mouth to volunteer Lonan to make the call instead, and found himself facing two rather no nonsense faces. Wisely shutting his mouth, Levi offered a final wave to Lonan before heading out into the evening.
Not quite how he'd expected this little adventure to go, but perhaps Lonan had convinced him for the better. Guaranteed meals were wonderful things!

Drac left with him, escorting him to the main house and to the phone. She wasn't letting him out of his sight tonight. He could take the spare across the hall from her's.
Lonan sat back, thinking over the evening before shaking his head. He really had nothing to offer on the subject of odd relations being guarded over by a draconic woman and having a centaur for a brother.
Letter written he sent it off to Elle with a small basket of dried herbs that she could find useful. Sonata off, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the letter from before. The ink was thin and hard to read, but he got the jist.
Point two to Elle. She didn't even need to be present to make him blush anymore.
