FallenCatAngel (19:15:19): Mbali had seen his older brother, he had heard the truth and it had hit him hard. He now felt guilty, for leaving Bari and the cubs and for not being with his mother when she needed him.

He had travelled constantly, not resting till he got home to the Kusuni lands. He was tired, and it was easy to see, he was covered in dirt, his mane wasn't looking so beautiful now either.

He reached his den, not quite making it inside before he collapsed, he was tired, ever so tired.

Goldenice2003 (19:19:02): Bari had been curled up in the den, staying away from those two...liferuiners ever since their father had left. Occasionally, she'd 'dropped' them off with her Aunt and Uncle, seeing as Siyo looked exactly like some of hte boys they had, being a bright red pelt himself. She grumbled slightly, rolling over so she faced the entrance of the den. She didn't expect to see the shadow of the larger lion plop down before her. Growling, her ears pinned back as her eyes narrowed. It was a cool glare, almost as if she wanted to attack the intruder that also lived in this very den.

FallenCatAngel (19:21:40): Mbali heard the growl but ignored it. She wouldnt attack him, well she might, she might just be very stupid in doing so.
He didn't say anything, he was getting hid breath back, he was exhausted. As soon as he believed himself ready he walked into the den and curled around the two cubs, he could handle his children, even if it was Bari who asked for them in so many words.

Goldenice2003 (19:25:59): "Get out." She said huffly, right as the male decided he was going to be with the cubs. "You are not welcomed here!" She hissed, snarling before stalking up to the painted male. "You left your children here while /you/ frolicked back to the lands who hate you." She growled. "They do /not/ need you." She glared.

FallenCatAngel (19:28:37): Mbali looked at Bari, "Those lands may hate me but my family never did. If I don't care for these cubs then who will?" He stared at her. He meant it. Bari seemed to hate them.
"I won't let our children die. Hate me as you wish, but if your not going to be a mother then I am going to need to be with them, aren't I?" He spoke softly, he was staying no matter what she said.
He started to wash his little girl, wasn't she so pretty.

Goldenice2003 (19:35:21): "If you family cared, you should've stayed where you were then!" She snorted. "There's others here who will watch them. In fact, they were watching them while /you/ were off!" Bari shouted, not really caring if the cubs awoke or not. "If you stay, then I'll go and fin d a new den."

FallenCatAngel (19:38:15): Mbali looked at her, "You really are cold aren't you? Well you go then Bari, be alone again then mumble and grumble about how no one cares for you or wants you. Well remember Bari, I want you and so do YOUR children." He was upset, sad at how he would never get through to Bari.

"I love you as do your children, we will wait for you, if you ever wish to love us back." He then turned and started to wash his son.

Goldenice2003 (19:44:20): Bari flipped her ears back as Mbali talked. This was her home, why should she have to leave! He left her first! She shook her head, plopping back on the ground near the entrance of the cave. "b*****d." She muttered, keeping her eyes away from him. She should just take the children away from him, since he left her with them for all that time. Let's see how he would like it then.

FallenCatAngel (19:48:49): Mbali looked at her.

He sighed. "Bari, I do care for you and the children. One day, maybe... You will understand."

He laid his head down next to his children, wishing, hoping maybe one day they could have a family.

Goldenice2003 (19:55:25): By the looks of it, they would never have a true family.

After a moment, a small sob seemed to escape her maw. Was Bari actually...crying? She curled up like a helpless little cub. This was just how her family was, she thought. She didn't want things to become like her family, but it wasn't like she could help it. She was just being herself! Whatever happened to the saying Opposites Attract? It looks like these opposites would never attract.

FallenCatAngel (19:57:47): Mbali looked at her and sighed. "I love you..."

He got up from the cubs and walked over to Bari. "I want to be here for you." He laid down next to her, she could do what she wanted, say what she wanted, he didn't care, he just wanted to be there for her

Goldenice2003 (19:59:3 cool : Bari used this time to bury her face in the growing mane of the other. She was still an adolescent, so that meant more raging hormones to deal with. "You weren't here for me and the kids. You just left!" She said. " We could've come with you.." She said with a small sigh, continuing to bury her head into the hair.

FallenCatAngel (20:01:33): Mbali sighed, "I didn't think, I thought you hated the place.. I didnt think you would want to come with me." He was confused now, why didn't he think? Why?
"Oh Bari..." He licked at her head, tears starting to roll down his face. "I won't leave again, I promise I won't leave again."
