Which do you like best?
DDR will always have a special place in my heart, it's a game I've played for a quite a while (well, at least by my standards), a game that helped me make a lot of friends and a game that I just love playing.
However, I think I actually like ITG's song selection a bit more right now.
I think part of that is because I like Trance a lot... another part of it is that I've played EXTREME so much I've like, memorized most of the songs, lol.
Anyways, I think both are great games (though, like I said, DDR will always be special heart ), which do you guys like best? Any particular reason why?

Although I play it because it's something new, I'm not the biggest fan of ITG. Most of the music is just generic techno crap or synth. There are a few songs that I really like, but most of it is just unmemorable or unpleasing. The stepcharts are ok, some of them are really good but most of the hard songs are just 16th note bullshit that doesn't go to the song (My Favorite Game).

I do like VerteX for some strange reason though.

Seconded for myself. I like how they have used some of the more interesting features of Stepamania for this product but the overall content is just lacking. Techno and syth are nice genres and all but there needs to be more varitey in its music (I know DDR is kinda guilty of the same crime but at least there was more variety).

I've played it, some songs are interesting, but the music just doesn't appeal to me as much as the songs on DDR.

personally, i like them both. DDR will always be my source of entertainment but In the Groove will test my skiils and push them to the MAX. In the groove is much harder than any English version of DDR. the only song on DDR that would comes close to one of the songs on ITG would be Max. Max. is the Equivilant to Vertex.

60-612 BPM!

Agreed. A lot of KaW/Smiley's songs sound too similar (Dawn is just a happy version of Kagami, July is almost the same as Xuxa, Zodiac and Anubis are almost the same song, Liquid Moon is just an extended version of the mode select theme...oh, wait...). I've heard a few of KaW's songs from ITG 2, and they sound a lot better (<3 Incognito). At least he's improving.

Very agreed as far as some of the stepcharts go. I like My Favorite Game until the LOL DROP OUT ending. Let My Love Go Blind did a decent good job with the 16th crap, I think.

I can't wait to hear VerTex^2.
