My town has a peace works group, I go to thier meetings sometimes. I've also been to a couple peace virgils, 1 anti-recruitment rallie, and on anti-war protsest and march. I also have the gathering of the hippies in my room on occasion (I have a few hippie friends), also my 'coven' (which has 3 members who meet very infrequently) is also a small hippie gathering sort of thing, seeing as my covenmates are other hippie friends of mine.

No, not to many places with all the cops everywhere here. But there are a lot of protesty things going on. Like the most recent was that the Lincoln Park Zoo cause of the animal mistreatment.

i live in a small-ish town, so there aren't many hippie gatherings. a lot of old people (and old-fashioned people) live around here so there isn't much for us hippies to do. there have, however, been a couple of protests (like when the circus came through...people protested due to the mistreatment of the animals)...
at my high school, there was a group called, ah... something something students united for peace and justice... and there was another group called Students Leaving A Trail of Empathy (slate). I guess you could call those hippie gatherings because it was mostly hippie people who joined up. but both of the groups were kind of extremist-sounding so they weren't very prevalent in our school.
