So it starts off as a normal night, our team losing, as usual. We go down to the track to warm up for our show, nothing unusual there. We head over to get ready to get on the field, and then with 15 seconds to go in the half, a player gets injured on the other team. This wouldn't have been so bad, if the player hadn't been down for 15 minutes. They had to drive the ambulence onto the field and everything...still don't know what happened to him. Anyway, so we're waiting next to the field, our instruments getting cold, waiting for this guy to get off the field. Then of course when the ambulence does bring him off, it has to drive right through our block.
But we eventually did get to get on the field, and as soon as we get in our possitions...a girl in our band, about 20 yards in front of me, black's out. She just falls down. For a little while I wasn't sure if any one had noticed, because she just layed there. Eventually a few people got her off the field. luckily she's alright.
Then for part 3, as if this wasn't already interesting enough. We finally start our show and everythings going cool for about a minute. (So just outside the stadium, there was a helicopter that had just landed as we were getting to the game. We had know idea why it was there, but it was. It was almost like they expected someone to get injured)...And OF COURSE, right as one of the soloists start to play, a part that we kind of need to hear, the helicopter takes off right behind us. And these things make A LOT of noise. Weird thing is...this isn't the first time our band has had issues with helicopters rolleyes
But we eventually did finish our show, even though it wasn't our best. I was just glad to get it over with.
Any one else had some really weird show moments like these?

not really...but that is a really weird experience to have...geez...well if this makes you better...we had plans for our 2 duetists to get on boxes during the summer and then we found out that the 1st part duetist breaks his leg...from skateboarding...and the weird thing is that he doesn't skateboard...he just got on one and broke his leg from falling... the dumba**!

This one bands halftime show was sad.
They never learned their music, and they still used flipfolders, so instead of paying attention to their marching, they had their heads buried in music. >.>
Lets just say the show was horrible.

Um, ow! The strangest thing that's ever happened in our band is that at a game our team scored a touchdown while we were warming up so we had to play the fight song from all the way across the field... I don't think many people heard it.

Last year our 1st football game,us VS George Washington, one of their band members fell flat on their face and I forget what all happened.

during UIL region this year, a lifelight helicopter was circling the stadium or something, because it came three times during our show. all of our judges apologized on the tapes for it though.
and the tapes themselves were funny, because, well, let's just say the phrase "tasty" and "tasty tuba" were said multiple times. xd
oh and a team we went against had trees in their marching show, for apparently no reason. they just rolled them out, marched around, and rolled them back as they left.

Lets See...I don't think we have had anything quite that bad. Um. I graduated last year so I don't have a show, but I teach Marching band now. At our first competition, My front Ensemble Took a full six minutes to plug in. It was so horrible!!! All of the cords we tangled and everything!
Um. In My percussion show last year we had an interesting thing happen. At finals competition, We started getting terrible feedback! AH!!!!! It Scared the crap out of everybody, but we performed to the best of our ability. We ended up getting 3rd place in state out of 11 schools in our class! Lol
OH! I Totally just remembered! I was watching Arapahoe's Show this year and they actually had a painted tarp on the ground. It was supposed to be Burbon street (Thier show was "Tribute to New Orleans"). One of thier Sousaphones Tripped over the edge of it and rolled along the ground cause the rest of the tuba line kept marching and kicking him along! LOL! It Was terrible but Hilarious. And then the Colorgaurd were using Umbrellas for part of the show. The wind picked up and blew most of the umbrellas off of the field!!! And to make things worse, the flags that were hidden and attached to the inside of the umbrellas started to fall out! The whole thing was hilarious to me because Arapahoe is the Best marching band in 5A! Lol

I don't think many people heard it. my first game in my freshman year, the other band was horrible in the stands and they marched around with flipfolders. all the upperclassmen had to assure us that we weren't the only ones who had to memorize.
