Is the following topic endorsed by our guild? Because it's using our banner, but it links to the forum instead of this guild. I might just be out of the loop or something, but I thought it should be brought up as the creator of the thread doesn't seem to be a member...

Perhaps someone should politely ask them where they got the banner. And see what they say.

As far as I know, Yami no Hitokiri found the banner on the internet. It wasn't originally made for this guild.

That's why when people notice problems with the banner, we have the problem of not having anyone who can fix it, because it wasn't made by anyone in the guild. I have software that I can use, and I know how to use it, but it's really time consuming. It's also hard to fix something that you didn't make, and I'm not really that good at animations to start with.

Since we do not own the banner, we can't do anything about the other guild using it. To look at the issue in a more positive way, at least there are other people who promote literacy.

Our guild has been around for longer, and we also have more people. I've never actually noticed the other guild until now. I think the banner is more associated with our guild than the other one.

It is good that they support good grammar(or if nothing else, hate chatspeak), so I suppose that works. Couldn't we affiliate ourselves with them? Why not make a new, different banner(that supports the same idea) for ourselves, and then use that, so it can be fixed when it messes up?

I don't know how to use them, because I've never truly had a reason to, but aren't there free GIF animators online? Couldn't someone use one of those to make a new animated banner?

It's just as Mousy said. I found this banner a few years ago and had it in my sig for years before DarkElf27 and I started this guild. Since I didn't make it, I haven't the right to ask other guilds not to use it.

I can't really think of any other slogans for this guild other than "Type out your damn words" since that's what we've used from the start. I have no talent at all with graphics, so I can't make a banner to save my life. For now it's this one unless someone can think of a catchier slogan and nicer banner to use.

Hmm..I'm ok with banners..would you like me to make you one? I can't make animated...but I am decent with paint...
And I don't really care if any guild is using a banner or anything, I only care if people care about good grammer, not that stupid "1337".

I think I could possibly make a new banner... You could give me something to say and i'll work on it as I have Macromedia Flash MX 2004, so it would be easy enough to fix if something was wrong.
