vendetta01 Hi, I'm Kate and I just joined the guild. I don't really want to post my exact age on Gaia, but I'm still in high school. I'm a dork and I doing loads of things, but most of my time is spent doing schoolwork unfortunately. I also love being in my robotics and medical clubs. Cya later, and nice meeting everyone. Really? I'm sure glad she did! This is a very interesting place. I've got a lot to say, and this guild allows me to comment on topics without feeling overwhelmed by the number of them.

Hello everyone! I'm Ann and a total newbie to Gaia. (I just found out how to get to the guild forum today. -______-) I'm a high school senior with way too many AP classes and extracurriculars so I'm not on alot here. Although I DO manage to find a way to play Neopets and become a multimillionaire there. Go figure.
I love debating, although I'm easily persuaded by a good, well-thought out argument. And even though I'm Copy Editor for our school paper, my spelling sucks. xD I look forward to meeting all of you guys and becoming more knowledgable about the world. biggrin

thanks for finding me interesting. actually im happy to be part of the guild i love to debate and discuss current past and future events with people who seem to have a common interest. you know people who actually understand what your talking about

Do kids in your class start crying over getting a B- too? It just wierded me out when I first saw it and made me feel like a slacker because thats about my range. Oh well. Those damned AP tests are coming up soon, I've gotta get $83 by March. gonk And then theres still the SAT's and ACT's. sweatdrop

I know exactly what you mean. I mean I'm no genious, but I'm not dumb either. So it's mostly "B"'s and some "A"'s for me. But if the people in the IB program get a B they start whining. Hey-yas. :] I'm Gato, not entirely new to Gaia, and I was invited by one of the moderators of the guild to join. x];; I joined because I'm getting sick of ED being flooded by ignorant psuedo-Literates: people who can scream and flame well, not to mention twist YOUR words, but they don't provide anything solid for you to argue on/with and then promptly accuse you of being (a) ignorant, (b) stupid, or (c) racist. ( I may have some of a and b, but I sure as hell ain't racist, thank you. >>; ) [/end semi-rant!]

Introductions:
I am known on Gaia as Sylphi. Sometimes I am known in real life as Sylphi. I am not known as anything else on Gaia.
I am 24, married, pregnant, and have a bachelor's and master's of science from MIT in political science. My husband received his bachelor's and master's degrees in material science from Rice and Stanford, respectively, and his JD from Harvard. We hope that our children will be more successful at staying in science than we were. I work at a children's toy store doing sales and PR. My ambition is to open a toy store of my own, although I am toying with the idea of going back to school and becoming a therapist.
