Now I'm no graphic whore, but I sure do love flashy spells and magic. And to me, I think Suikoden delivered here. So nowadays, when I play a new Suikoden, it has to measure up to Suikoden 3 (the story is another game Suikoden 1).
Basically, do you agree or disagree?
Also, name some of your favorite spells throughout the series.

 .....~~..... heart *_* Oh yes! The spells/runes are oh so pretty!! whee I really like the water runes >D lol just because it's more of my element. But I also like the thunder runes too. Wind was..kind of lame xp lol not to disLuc or anything emo .....~~.....

Ah, come on now! You didn't like the eternal wind spell? I thought it was as equally nice as any of the other elemental true rune final spell. Plus it had an abundance of funeral wind spells.

The spell animation in III was fantabulous. All of the final level True Rune spells are my personal favorites in that game, as well as Breath of Ice. It was so cool~!

I can't remember any of the names of spells in 3, but they are pretty cool. So much better than the newer Suikodens, which you think would have the flashier stuff.

I always thought the Healing Wind was really cool, they chose the colours well.

I still like the spell animations from Suiko II better, they were more creative IMO. And the Canopy Defense spell was actually what it sounded like, unlike the Stonehenge thing in Suiko III, which does look nice. However, the final spell of the True elemental Runes were awesome. The True Lightning and True Wind being my favourite.
