Sora pranced excitedly, tail flicking as he cast his green eyes side to side, trying to catch sight of his beloved Delphia. In his mouth he bore something small and feathery. He was to meet her, after a long absence, and in his heart he felt the familiar fluttering. There! He spotted her familiar grey coat and trotted out to meet her. With the object in his mouth, he couldn't neigh, so he just nuzzled her and dropped the item on the ground, grinning proudly. The mother of his children deserves something special.

Helaku trotted along behind his father, since he'd been unsure where to find Delphia. Without a twolegger to make things for him, he'd had to search hard for something that his equine muzzle could carry. The rose he'd chosen had pricked his lips and muzzle, and drawn some blood, but the silver and grey stallion had accepted the pain with grace. His mother deserved something lovely, something that hadn't been easy to get. Drawing up alongside his father, he laid his gift next to his sire's.
Delphia looked up in surprise as she caught a scent on the wind. Her ears pricked and her nostrils flared with excitement. Sora was coming! When he came trotting into sight, she whinnied a bugle of welcome and galloped to his side. Nuzzling under his chin, she saw he was carrying something. When he dropped it, she snuffled of it interestedly. It smelled of him and had feathers on it that reminded her of Jaden.
"Why thank you, dearest!" she exclaimed. She gently picked it up an turned, bending her neck to the extreme so she could snag it against her braids near her shoulders. She sraightened and nibbled along her mate's crest. Perhaps before long they'd consider more foals!
Just then she saw Helaku coming as well! Delighted, she neighed her love to him. When he dropped his gift at her feet, she saw flcks of blood on his lips and nickered concern. "Oh son, what have you done?" She nuzzled him worriedly. "You shouldn't have hurt yourself to gain a gift for me. Just your love is enough to gladden my heart!" She delicately picked up the beautiful purple rose and bent herself nearly in half. Carefully, she nestled it in the hair of her tail.
"There! Now I am festooned with the love of those closest to me." She leaned into Sora and whuffled at her grown colt. She was happiest with them, and settled in to enjoy their company on this special day.
