[Good, let's keep moving]
Kiyo pushed backwards off of Sumi's skate, narrowly avoiding the downward swipe of the ice dagger by a couple centimeters.
SKAZZ!!
Landing awkwardly with his weight forward, it took him a moment to regain balance on the ice.

((Oh man. The sheer boredom of my social studies textbook is going to be the death of me.))
Because Sumi's skate had been caught on Kiyo's, the ice master was also off balance for a split second, but she hadn't been the one falling from the sky. she regainined it a little quicker than her combatant. Eyeing to use this as an opportunity, Sumi held onto her dagger in one hand and formed a sword in the other. Rushing towards Kiyo, she held her sword up in front of her, keeping her dagger arm close to her body for defense.

[Oh man, I know exactly how you feel about that.]
Kiyo saw her charge forward as his footing returned to him, however, it was something behind the young woman that grabbed his attention. Standing up straight, he charged his fingers and made a beckoning motion with his hand.
"Behind you!" Kiyo shouted as the metal pole dislodged itself from the ice and somersaulted itself through the air at Sumi's blind spot. There was a chance that she would reach him before the pole reached her, and his leg muscles tensed as the tip of her blade came within a yard of him. The closer both projectiles got to their target, the slower time seemed to get.

Unfortunately for Kiyo, it was his call that alerted her to the metal pole whistling through the air. Moving completely on instinct, Sumi slid down on the ice, lying almost completely flat as the projectile whipped over her head.
Her momentum would carry her into Kiyo, blades of her skate extended. Also, she still held her weapons at the ready (well, as ready as they could be from her position lying on the ice). She knew she was in a bit of a predicament, but she'd rather have a slightly awkward angle than be slammed in the back by a piece of metal.

Kiyo grinned, his warning had lowered Sumi's aim just far enough for him to jump over. And jump he did as he kicked off of the ground, leapt just over the tip of the icicle sword and her lowered head, caught the spinning metal pole in mid-air, twisted to the side and brought the pole and himself down in a heavy strike that would probably smack her on the rear as she passed underneath him.
"HIYAAA!!!"
He was pretty sure he wasn't going to land gracefully, but if he connected it'd be worth it.

((You're trying to hit me while in the air, while I'm moving away from you? o_0;; Clarification?))

Hearing Kiyo come down behind her, Sumi slammed her sword into the ice on her left. Her sliding momentum brought her whipping around, and she managed to hop neatly to her feet while doing so. Now, the thunder master was falling down in front of her. Calling on her powers, she raised a portion of the ice to come up in a wall perpendicular to his angle of decent. Working as fast as she could, she also put three more walls up, turning it into some kind of weird room or box. Once he was in there, it would probably be a lot easier to hit him.
As well, Sumi called on some icicles to rain down on top of him.
((Oh snap. XD Sorry for the stupidly late reply.))

[*applause* Great post!]
Kiyo landed as ungracefully as he predicted, and by the time he had gotten up from his wild strike, he tried to run at Sumi for another chance to strike. He would've succeeded too, but there was a wall in his way. So he simply turned to walk around the wall...only to find himself trapped in an over-sized ice-box.
Great...what could be next?...
The answer came as he saw sharp icicles forming overhead, falling down on him to complete the trap Sumi had so artfully setup. Kiyo sucked in air and gripped the metal staff as the icicles slowed their decent, his reactions having sped up in response to the incoming threat. Thankful that Sumi left him with enough room to move freely, he smacked the slow-moving icicles with amazing precision.
POP-POP-POP-POP-POP!!
Time resumed to its normal speed and the ice shards littered the ground beneath him with the sound of broken glass. He remained in a pose, breathing calmly, waiting for anything else to come down on him....
...A moment passed...
Kiyo stabbed the staff in the ice and charged electricity within his hands and forearms, the thought that he couldn't tell where his opponent was running through his head, and it made him a little nervous. At the same time, however, he didn't want to break the ice walls since Sumi couldn't see what he was up to as long as they stood. The electricity in his arms began to spiral clockwise up from his elbow to his wrist, making them look like high-tech drills. He exhaled slowly and slid into a combat pose, getting himself prepared for his opponents next move.

Sumi frowned and bit her lip with Kiyo expertly dodged all of her icicles. Of course, she couldn't see it all happening due to the clarity of the ice, but she could hear them all shatter on the ground. She wasn't really expecting them to hit, but she did want him to at least get scratched. Really. His reflexes were making everything rather difficult.
The hairs on Sumi's arms stood up as she could feel the electricity buildling inside her ice box, and the girl had to think quickly to decide on her next plan of action. Using an idea Kiyo actually gave her a little bit earlier, she skated swiftly over to the sides of the box and laid her gloved hands against it, palms pressing inward. In response, large spikes of ice grew out of the walls and starter launching themselves, catching Kiyo in the crossfire.
