My prediction was there was water-tribe blood in Kioshi ( sp )
because some of the people where wearing a blue clothing instead of a green.

just because people wear blue clothing doesnt indicate them that they're from the water tribe.. sweatdrop they could probably just wearing blue clothing out of moods or just because they want to.

Also, in the episode Avatar Day, it showed that Kyoshi was once a part of the mainland, but Avatar Kyoshi used both earth and firebending to separate Kyoshi from the mainland, in order to protect her home. They are earth kingdom.

We see Aang and Zuko wear green. It doesn't make them earthbenders. The nations prefer to wear certain colors, but that doesn't mean they always will or that people of other nations won't wear the color in question.

True but The island is in the middle of an ocean.... Maybe thats why they wear blue? And Kioshi really didn't use Fire bending, she used earth bending to split the earth and then brought up the lava as a wede and drove the two apart. ^_^
