The follow up chapter to the popular GBC game, but with many differences. First and foremost, Sheep were added to the game. Also, the ability to walk around town is introduced (in the previous game, you entered a map on which you could cylcle between each place to enter), as well as a Green House. This game could link to The Legend of River King 2, and doing so and superimposing the maps would give you the ability to obtain one of the most helpful tools in the game: the coveted Miracle Glove. heart With this tool equipped, when you pick up an item and then throw it on the ground, it's instantly put in your shipping bin. However, the only way to obtain it is to link the two games. crying Festivals appeared for the first time on the portables in this game, and the game is not short on them. 3nodding Most of them pertain to your attending the event and the square and talking to people, but then, aren't just about all HM festivals like that? X3 With the many things you have to do, this game is guaranteed to keep you occupied for all 3 Years you have and for the many years after the initial three as well. 3nodding Last but not least, you could again play as a boy or girl in this game, but this time it actually made a difference. The gender you played as specified which seeds you could get. whee (More on that in a future post. wink )

So, discuss, have fun, and so long as you know I don't condone it, download the ROM and play this super awesome game. wink sweatdrop

BOY AND GIRL DIFFERENCES

There are a few differences between playing as Boy and playing as a Girl in this game. Most noticeable, of course, are the seeds you can use! Here's a list of the gender-exclusive seeds. whee

BOY ONLY
Turnips
Tomato
Peanut
Broccoli
Sage
Saffron
Geranium
Primrose

GIRL ONLY
Potato
Corn
Eggplant
Carrot
Rosemary
Camomile
Lavender
Orchid

And now, let's calculate to see who has the advantage; boy or girl! whee

SPRING CROPS
BOY-Turnip
Price of Bag: 120G Each
Growth Rate: 5 Days, no Regrow
Sell Price: 40G

GIRL-Potato
Price of Bag: 150G Each
Growth Rate: 7 Days, no Regrow
Sell Price: 60G

WINNER: BOY
HERE'S HOW: 1 Crop Square of 8 yields 200 Profit (what you make off of the crop minus costs of buying it) for Turnips, 330 Profit for Potatoes. HOWEVER: Turnips have the potential to be at max regrown 7 times in one season, whereas Potatoes only have 4. Multiplied out, you yield off of one crop square 1400 from Turnips and 1320 from Potatoes, making the winner Turnips. 3nodding

SUMMER CROPS
BOY-Tomato
Price of Bag: 200G Each
Growth Rate: 10 Days, 3 Day Regrow
Sell Price: 80G

GIRL-Corn
Price of Bag: 300G Each
Growth Rate: 14 Days, 4 Day Regrow
Sell Price: 100G

WINNER: BOY
HERE'S HOW: Tomatoes take less time to grow and regrow, and can be regrown up to 7 times in one season. Corn takes a bit longer, and can only regrow up to 5 times in one season. From one crop square, profiting 440G for one harvest of Tomatoes and 500G for one harvest of Corn, you would yield a profit of 3080G from Tomatoes and 2500G from Corn, making the Boy our winner again.
