What power would we all say is associated with very old festivals and rites?
As it is closest, what significance would the Feast of Samhain hold? Would there be any way of "tapping" into it?

Well i think festivals are to honor the God and Goddess and in return they give us blessings. It would be a different for every festival like in harvest time etc.
It's the greatest time for divination! There is a ritual involved. Once you honored the Great ones and our ancestors you can perform a divination for what is to happen the next year. Hope that helped biggrin

The power is largely psychological. Things which have been around a long time human beings tend to attach special meaning to as we intrinsically value longevity. Beyond that, one can speculate in terms of the metaphysics. Some say that the longer a thoughtform has been reinforced by human beings, the more power it has. This is essentially the same idea as the psychological explanation, though.

does anyone know how i might be able to celebrate samhain on my own(just me and the girlfriend really. we were considering going out to the graveyard on halloween night and wandering about looking for any wandering spirits)
