Punk-popsters My Chemical Romance rocketed to the top of the singles charts with their latest release 'Welcome To The Black Parade' from 23rd place, knocking Razorlight off the No 1 spot.
The Official UK Charts Company said Razorlight's bands 'America' moved to No 2 position, pushing 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin'' from the Scissor Sisters into third place.
In the album charts the latter two bands also competed with Scissor Sisters' Ta-Dah moving up one place to number two and Razorlight's Razorlight also shifting up one place to No 3. Killers' Sam's Town held onto the top album spot.
In the singles charts Beatfreakz newest song 'Superfreak' was the fastest mover in the top ten, shooting in at No 7 from 43.
Other top ten acts were actor and singer David Hasselhoff, best known for his roles in Baywatch and Knight Rider, whose offering 'Jump In My Car' dropped to 10th from third, while 'Checkin' It Out' by Lil' Chris gained two places to No 6.
French DJ-producer Bob Sinclar moved up to fourth from fifth place with 'Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)', which also features the French DJ Cutee B.
The Killers, fell two places to No 8 with 'When You Were Young', while 'Sexyback', by US singer Justin Timberlake, was steady at No 9.
