The first ever portable Harvest Moon. ^_^ It was simple in nature, really. You inherit your grandfather's farm from his ghost, and he advises you that in one year he will come back and check on your progress. It's his hope that you will become a Ranch Master. After this opening, you are left pretty much to fend for yourself. All your buildings are provided for you, and you inherit a MASSIVE field that you will probably only use about half of. ( sweatdrop ) There is no marriage in this game, but you do have the option to play as a boy or girl in the game. This was the first game that allowed you to do this in the series. The music from this game was a simplified version of the SNES soundtrack. While the game is simple in nature compared to later installments in the series, it still has all the addictive gameplay of any of the other games. I actually highly recommend it for beginners (after all, this was the game that got me hooked on the series wink ). It may be hard to find a hard copy now, but you could always use the...::looks both ways:: ninja ...::coughcoughROMcoughcoughcough::. (Not that I....condone that, or anything.... ninja ) xd
In any case, this sticky is for discussion of this classic game.
