-That- caught Chamchela's full attention. She sat up sharply, inadvertently letting the miniature twister fly off into the distance. A teacher?

Before Kiva even had a chance to respond the younger goddess was on her paws before her, excitedly imploring, trying to reason with Kiva's giving nature.

"Can I mom?? Aw please? I really wanna learn!"

Kiva's eyes widened in surprise, just a tad overwhelmed by her daughter's very uncharacteristic outburst. She'd never seen her that excited about anything, she was instantly wary.

But, Mrost did know control, obviously, and, she could always review what he was teaching her when the lessons were over, just to make sure... Elly was a good girl at heart wasn't she? Augh, not that she could remember with Chamchela's constant "Can I? Please please PLEASE?" going on.

"Alright, alright! Calm down!"

A quick paw to the top of Elly's head stilled the little one by holding her still in one place, no painful pressure applied. Kiva met Elly's eye and spoke privately to the girl.

You have to promise me that you'll be on your absolute -BEST- behavior from now on though.

Chamchela grinned as wide as possible, and as innocent as she could look. She'd have a teacher, a real teacher, not just her mom! HAH!

"This is so cool! I get a teacher! Ang's gonna be so jealous!" She smirked and jumped back, then suddenly blinked, realizing she might've said too much. "Ur, I mean, not that I want her to be jealous." COUGH. "..."

Attention shift! <3

"Mrost, you really promise to teach me??"

"..." Kiva heaved a sigh, shutting her eyes. ~Why do I get the feeling I just welcomed in a whole new breed of trouble?~

Mrost remained aloof even through Chamchela's pleas with her mother, fighting hard to suppress the triumphant grin that wanted to curve onto his face. He couldn't afford that to happen so instead did his damnedest to look solemn, mature and a /very/ good role model. He stayed aside politely as Kiva spoke to her daughter, his tail curling behind him casually. He'd never taught a god before and didn't doubt that it would be a very unique experience, his kind were strong willed and he'd have to coax and trick rather than command and expect obedience.

Either way, it'd be a challenge and he loved challenges, especially the ones with big rewards. He smiled in a gentlemanly fashion at Kiva as she agreed to allow the tuition, bowing his head slightly "I will do my best to teah her things to serve her well."

He turned his attention to Cham again, and nodded. "Oh yes, It's not like I'm doing anything else and with a girl as bright and with so much potential as you have I'd be a fool not to help you be the best you can be."

And that was on top of the fact that he considered females the most cunning and conniving of the genders. He'd have an army of females over males anyday.

Kiva nodded, trustingly, and watched Mrost as her attention returned to the great blue immortal.

"We appreciate this, Mrost... it's very kind of you to offer so soon after we've just met."

Pointed glance to Chamchela.

Wha? Oh, right... manners. XP

"Oh, uh... yeah, thank you Mrost..." She said, clearly a little bored by the show of manners, though not without gratitude. "When can we start?"

Mrost tried to look as gentlemanly as possible, sustaining the illusion that yes, he was a good role model for Kiva's daughter and an upstanding member of godly society. "It's no problem, honestly, I'm honoured by your permission to permit me to teach your daughter."

He was amused by Cham's dismissal of the formalities, intending to tell her that sometimes rapt attention and manners are how you get your way. "When? Whenever you like, I'm not beholden to anyone and my time is spent primarily seeking something I've lost which could be stumbled across anytime. So yes, whenever your mother permits it."
