According to numerous reports on GameFAQ's forum, people who preordered the game from EBgames, or Gamestop will be able to recieve the game on the 8th of November. They recieve the shipment the 7th, and will release the game to preorderees on the 8th. I've yet to confirm this, but there seems to be numerous reports of this on the GameFAQs message board stating that this came from workers at said game stores.

Hahaha, we'd sooo be fired.
I'm working today, I'll find out.
I highly doubt it.

I highly doubt it. Well more proof towards that statement is that Gamefly states Gears of War's release date as the 7th of november.

More proof = me checking the shipping/street dates on our computers. wink
That will say for sure, because that's what tells us when we're getting/selling them. Trust me, we know -everything- before you know.
However, if you really want the game early, try Toys 'R Us. XD
My bosses managed to buy 10 copies of Saints Row 2 days early because of some guy that was baked, lol

I just got a newsletter from Gamestop about Gears' release on the 7th, and something we're supposedly doing on the 21st, this Saturday. (A preview or something.)
It seems the release date has changed, but I'm still positive that it will not be early for pre-orders.
Do you know how pissed people would be?! D:

Do you know how pissed people would be?! D: About as pissed as they would be for not being able to get a copy because they didn't preorder it? I've, on more than one occasion, recieved a game a day, or two early because I pre-ordered it from either store. Regardless, it seems that the release date has changed all together. The 8th release date is for all people, but it'd probably be best to still preorder.

I'm just saying that it's not supposed to happen. If you were to tell me what stores, I could tell the Vice President of Gamestop, who has an office in the back of our store, and I can gauruntee you 100% that the managers at those stores would get fired.) However, the 7th is the new release date, and pre-ordering it will promise you a copy like an normal pre-order. No early release date for anyone. Also, Splinter Cell: DA tomorrow! lol
