I work in a community theatre, and I'm actually there right now. I'm waiting for the second show to start... I already had one this morning. It's almost six, and I've been here since 9:30 in the morning. Last night I was here until midnight... starting from RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL. Anyways...
Does anyone else have to work with crabby and otherwise B****y dance recital women? Oh my gosh. I lost my temper yesterday and said a snide comment over headset Needless to say I got in trouble.
Anyone else have those problems, or hate working them... and only do it because you're getting paid?!?

In general, I don't get along with them...they seem to come in and think they know everything about how a theatre works.....Some of them can be nice, and understanding but others are just so arrogent and egotistical, and when they start telling me how to do my job, I just want to blow up....I'm the one working on the board, I'm the one getting paid, I'd hope I know how to do my job. I love it when people come in and admit they don't know anything but know sorta what they want...the ones who understand that we cant change the lights we have set for the upcomming play just for the night....

I refuse to do that sort of stuff unless my Tech Teacher really needs me too, This year i got the choice of working Our Broadways memories show (its a variety show the theatre kids do as sort of there final) for free or our Dance show...for pay i chose the unpayed event I know the dancers there just really annoying. A guy i know was in charge of our projector we use for slide shows and stuff well they wanted to play napoleaon Dynamites Dance number behind them as they did what the deemed the napolean dance and they wanted him to start danceing THE EXACT SECOND there music started. Well Obviously our sound is on a diffrent system DOWN Stairs and the projector is upstairs in the light booth So Josh and Lisa (our sound tech) had a hard time getting it started in sync. So instead of being understanding or listening to the problem they just bitched about it. I would hear them talking at lunch about how stupid techies are. It was really obnoxious.
