If you are a dreamer, come in! If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer, If you are a dreamer, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
And upon the ripping from one side of the mind to the next, the birth of a concept so surreal has brought me to this quest.
I, Twink, quest for the Aduthule pairing of [Sanity], and [Insanity]. With, naturally, a twist of my own design.
Who is to say who is sane and not? Not you, nor I. Whether or not this quest will be completed is one thing, but through these pairings, created or not, I will hope to...
For lack of better word, twist your perception of Saniity and Insanity.
Enough of my ramblings. Move on.
Navigation: 1. Welcome, welcome, one and all. 2. The 'Sane' twin: Quinn 3. The 'Not-So-Sane' Twin: Brom 4. Funds and 'Bribes', though they are nothing of the like. 5. Story Book

And He was dubbed Quinn, the Wise. The Sane One. Name: Quinn .....Meaning of the Name: Wise. .....Reason for the name: Quinn means Wise. As the sane brother, Quinn also comes off as intelligent. And Brom likes calling him "Quinny." Gender: Male. Body Shape: Lithe, 'tiny', comes off as defenseless. Skin Tone: Off-white Blue. (#CCCCFF) Skin Marks: Starting around his forearm, Quinn has two 'tattoo's that are Cadmium Red (#E3170D) in color. They are much like tribal tattoos (ref), and instead of creating a complete circle, they branch up, and meet at his neck, wrapping around in another tribal tattoo (much like the ones around his arms) that drapes around his neck and over his collar bone. All the markings are of the same color, Cadmium Red as stated previously. Hair Color: Blue Jeans (#42526C) Hair Length: Pretty short compared to Brom's. His hair sits just past his chin. Hair Style: His hair, sitting just past his chin, is very simply cut. It's jagged near the edges, always, to show a bit of recklessness that he gets near Brom. (Which is all the time. ^_^ Nice huh?) It's always down. Eye Color: Red. (#FF0000) Wings: His wings are miniature compared to other Aduthule and serve no real purpose. They are, however, there. The 'spine' of his wings are coated with feathery down, and instead of longer feathers sprouting, the main portion of his wings are thin, like a bat's. The feathers are Dark Cherry Red (#330000). Ears: His ears are elven, in that they are longer than usual and pointed. Tail: His tail is long and reptilian, except near the end where it sprouts a little tuft of blue fur identical to his skintone. Clothing: Despite how 'sane' Quinn may come off, his clothes will argue otherwise. However he may think, his clothes are girly, and Brom has NO trouble saying so. He wears a tanktop with very thin straps, and a deep V neck that looks as if it were torn. (It was/will be, in RPing.) The tanktop also falls short, and exposes his stomach. He also wears a pair of pure black jeans. No shoes. Accessories: He always carries a book of stories with him, to read to Brom when he's sad or upset. It's an instant calmer for him. He has exactly thirteen silver bangle bracelets on his left wrist, and a locket, perfectly kept in its condition, with Brom's picture. He has a ring that Brom has, identical, to show his love for his brother. Personality: Quinn is the maternal of the two. He loves his brother more than anything in the world, and because of Brom's "condition", he sees it as his personal duty to care for his brother. He suffers for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, meaning he isn't COMPLETELY SANE, like his paradox would claim him to be. Whose perfect? Not he. Otherwise, though, Quinn comes off as standoffish and cold. He's terrified of losing Brom to his sickness, so he often worries himself sick trying to care for Brom. Even as he ages, his interest in girls is minimal because he's too busy caring for Brom. Brom is his life force, and thus, he doesn't have much of a life of his own. Brom hates that, and tries to change it constantly. Extras: Hex Code for Text Will Be: #388E8E
Sidenotes: - Quinn has an insane temper. This is one aspect he DEFINITELY shares with Brom. His temper will get INCREASINGLY BAD as he grows, to the point where when he lashes out, instead of just lashing out one time, he'll lose control and snap on someone. When he comes out of it, he won't remember anything about what he's done. A side effect, no doubt, he inherited from his brother. Luckily, it's very hard for Quinn to lose his temper.

And the name of his brother so loved was Brom, the Raven. The Insane One. Name: Brom .....Meaning of the name: Raven. .....Reason for the name: This will be RPed in a story format, with or without the art verifying them as Aduthule. It's an emotional bit, when they first go from relic to children. Gender: Male Body Shape: Lithe like his twin, but definitely muscular. Lean, like an athlete. Skin Tone: Salmon (#FA8072) Skin Marks: His marks are identical to Quinn's, save for the colors. Instead of Cadmium Red in color for the entire tattoo, his tattoo is the color of his brother's beautiful hair. Blue Jeans (#42526C) (Ref for tattoos) Hair Color: Blood Red (#660000) Hair Length: His hair, unlike Quinn's, is long. It falls past his hips. Hair Style: Brom's hair is usually left down and draped around him protectively, like a blanket. On formal occassions, he'll let Quinn braid his hair. Usually, though, Brom likes his hair down and free. Eye Color: Blue Ice (#74BBFB) Wings: Brom has no wings. He has two stubs, remainders of his wings. That's it. The stubs are broken and look painful, but usually Quinn has them wrapped in gauze to keep Brom from hurting himself. Ears: Identical to Quinn's, his ears are pointed and long. However, his left ear tip is pierced with a chain that loops down to the bottom of his ear. Tail: Long, and lovely is how Quinn describes it. It's long and FURRY. Like, crazy!racoon!tail furry. It's salmon, the same color as his body, but fades to a darker Red color. (#8E2323) Clothing: He doesn't wear a shirt. If he has to, he wears a very simple T-shirt, but he'd vote to go sans shirt and in a pair of jeans. His jeans, like Quinn's, are black. Accessories: He has two silver bangle bracelets on his right wrist, like his brother's. He has one necklace, a locket with Quinn's picture in it, that looks as if it was dropped a lot. (Chipped, sides are worn down, ect.) He has a ring identical to his brother's, because they gave each other these rings as a symbol of "love". Personality: Being insane? Is what gave Brom his beautiful voice. He is a very social creature despite having multiple disorders, including hallucination bouts, hysteria bouts, and generally he's just... Very ******** up in the head. He has a unique train of thought, and it gets to the point where he seems to take on another personality. (Haha, instead of two voicecs in his head when they merge, they have THREE. *snort*) But it's just because Brom embraces it, he doesn't try to shun his insanity. It's a part of him. He loves it. What he doesn't love, though, is how Quinn behaves. Quinn is a fretful boy, and while it's encouraging to have his brother love him that much, he's afraid for Quinn's health because Quinn spends so much time taking care of him. As they get older, Brom would love nothing more than to be able to sit at home and watch movies with himself while Quinn goes out on a date. He's eager to get Quinn out on his own, so HE can enjoy himself. Both brothers are willing to sacrifice for each other, it's obvious. Extras: Hex Code for Text will be: Red (#FF0000)

And finally... We draw to the Story Book. Ahrm. Mother has left me in charge of this particular area, simply because I have the story book anyway. It's easier. But, moving on.
In my area of the world, I will keep track--
With my help, right Quinny?
... Yes, Brom, of course with your help.
We will keep a chronicle of the stories told in this particular area of the Gaian world. Please, feel free to enjoy.

Christmas Presents
Characters Involved: Brom, Quinn, Avora (mother), other family members. Brief Summary: Brom wants to uncover the secret under a shinily wrapped present. Word Count: 1,268 words.
Nothing quirked Brom... Nothing got at Brom quite like Christmas. It was a happy occasion, no doubt about that, but those shiny wrapped presents taunted him from the first of the month. Constantly, the pile under their famous Pine grew and grew. Their pine was huge! It was always big and tall, and decorated in the best way. Avora would have it no other way. Their mother smiled lovingly at Brom as she passed with yet another shiny present.
"Mom?" Brom lifted from his chair quietly, his rather large mug of cocoa forgotten. Avora stopped, and looked over, frowning at him gently. He gave a reassuring smile. "Can I open one?" He asked, walking over to the pile of presents quietly and looking down at the presents. Avora's lips quirked into a smirk, and she shook her head.
"You know the rules, sweetest. Not until the 20th." Avora patted his head lovingly, her fingers weaving delicately through his hair, before she returned to the pile and set the gift down. Then she looked at him. "It's only the eighteenth of December, Brom. Two more days." She smiled at him. "That is all." Brom sighed, softly, and returned to his seat. He took the candy cane out of their famous dish, and stirred his cocoa.
Two days.
Two long... long days.
And over those two days, the pile kept growing! Brom sat, every day, with a book or his coloring book or a sketchpad, staring at the pad, willing it to be the 20th so he could take one of the shiny presents himself. And over those two days, numerous members of their family and friends came to stay at the house with Brom and Quinny and Avora. He loved all of his aunts, and his mothers' friends from the Asylum. But...
Those god damn presents!
Finally, it was the 20th. He knew because he had been counting down every hour, every minute, every second to the point where he would be able to open one present. Just one of course, but one of those shiny presents would be his. His permanently, once the shiny wrapping was gone and revealed what the secret behind it was. He woke up at exactly one o'clock in the afternoon, the thirteenth hour, when his brother Quinn woke and shifted off the bunk above him.
Brom gave his brother a slow, sleepy smile, and shifted off his bed, rubbing his hands through the mangled nest of hair on his head. Quinn smiled gently, and grabbed a brush, digging it into his hair as he walked to the bathroom to shower and get dressed. Brom took his time getting out his clothes for the 20th. Day one of celebration. Avora ran a five day celebration leading up to Christmas, which was the best party every year, and as the first day, he'd need to dress up.
He walked to a calendar quietly that Avora had hung, to check the requirements. Day One: Fairy Tale. Brom giggled softly, and went to the closet, digging around. He found his costume, and dressed in it quietly, then took the time to delicately curl his hair. What better Fairy Tale than Cinderella? He put on the glass slippers, and started for the bathroom, peering in. "What're you being, Quinny?"
Quinn looked over and grinned. "Prince Charming. You?"
"Cinderella." Brom grinned. Quinn laughed, and nodded, walking out with him. "Shall we?" Brom offered his arm. Quinn nodded, linking their arms and starting down to breakfast. It wasn't unusual for Brom to crossdress on Holidays, especially not when he got to wear a ballgown like this. He loved them, he had twelve in his closet. Quinn sat Brom down, and ate 'brunch' with him.
It was two thirty when they'd finished.
Four and a half hours left.
Of course, those hours passed quickly enough.
Avora had games, movies, and readings planned throughout the day. All of which Brom participated in. Most events were outside, thankfully, so his mind was not lost on that pile of ultimate shiny. At least, not until 6:30.
At 6:30, of the first day, every Christmas Celebration, they returned to the sitting room where the great pine and its pile of SHINIES were, to drink wine (or in Brom's case, grape juice) and read a story. Tonight was Quinn's story night, in which he would read his favorite tale. Brom already knew which tale he'd read, he'd heard it thousands of times before.
"Tonight, I will read an older story. I'm sure you have all heard this story at some point, and if not... Well. Beware. It isn't a christmas tale, but it is a good one, nonetheless." And Quinn launched into his story. The Corpse Bride was Brom's favorite tale, and it wasn't long until he was lost in that short story of Quinn's, sipping his juice and watching Quinn's animated tale come to life. When it was over, it was six fifty five.
Avora knew what to expect. She looked over at her father, with a small and amused smile. "Father, if you would go and pick out one gift for everyone..." The older man nodded and walked to the tree. From the pile he began to pick out gifts for everyone, setting them out in a very straight line with the names facing forward. When that was over, it was seven. Brom looked at Avora, pained.
Avora laughed at her son's face, and nodded. "Quinn, Brom, as the youngest, you two have the ability to go first."
Brom bolted out of his chair, and ran to his present. It was small, compared to the others, but it was still wrapped in that shiny, foily paper. He picked up his gift quietly, and smiled at his aunt Gerta. "Thank you, Aunt Gerta." He said, before even opening the gift. The heavy woman laughed from her spot in the chair, and waved at him.
"Well open it, dear!" She encouraged, eyes dancing. Brom nodded, and looked at Quinn, who had already opened his present to reveal a very thick book of short stories. He launched at his grandfather, laughing and praising. Brom began to open his present quietly, unwrapping it with care. Under the shiny paper was a box, plain and black. He frowned, and opened it curiously. His eyes shone at the gift, and he grinned, bolting to his aunt and hugging her tightly.
"Thank you, Gerta!" He giggled, and returned to his seat, box folded against hiis chest. Quinn frowned curiously at his brother, but Brom said nothing. He simply held the box. Avora smiled slightly, and shook her head at Quinn's questioning glance.
Later that evening, Quinn pounced Brom on his bed, laughing softly, and kissed his brother's forehead lovingly. "So, whadd'ya get?" Brom asked, looking at him with a grin. Quinn slid up onto his top bunk, and got the book, holding it out.
"A collection of Ancient Short Stories." Brom giggled. "Nice."
"What about you, Brom?" He asked curiously. "I want to see what you got."
Brom grinned slowly, and grabbed his box. He opened it, and pulled out his gift, holding it up. Quinn took it and looked, to see... Himself? "A mirror. You got a handmirror."
"Isn't it beautiful?" Brom asked, taking it and looking at himself in the mirror with a coy grin. "I love it."
Quinn smiled, and laid down, his book on the shelf above his bed. Brom, with care, put the mirror on his vanity near the bed, and rolled over. "Good night, Quinny."
"Goodnight, Brom."
There was nothing like the first night of Christmas Celebration.
