{Woo hoo! Here's a new chapter of my story! I should really start writing the rest of it, huh. It'll be one long story...}
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author’s Note: I do not own Tokyo Mew Mew or its characters. I do own my characters (Aizawa “Cinna” Cinnamon, Rikujou Basil, Kure Nutmeg, Tsumetai Pepper, Akaaka Thyme, Kumori Ginger and Brownie), however. The idea for an Alien Mew Mew story is entirely my own concept. I support a MintoxKisshu pairing, and if you don’t like it, tough luck. Also, I reserve the right to poke you with burning needles dipped in poisoned salsa (which would be quite painful) if you use my characters without permission.
-----It was 12:00 noon. Cinna and Ginger stood at the front of a room, which appeared to have been previously used for teaching. Four others were in the room. One, the only male in the room, looked more bored than the others. He probably understood his powers the most of the four of them. Two of them, Pepper and Thyme, didn’t understand why they were there, and were rolling their eyes. The last, one, with long, black hair tied in pigtails, stared at the two at the front with wide, green eyes. This girl was Kure Nutmeg… although her parents had named her ‘Megan’. -----“Why do we have to be here again…?” Pepper asked, impatient. She brushed a loose piece of her rusty red hair out of her face. “If we’re going to learn how to use our powers, shouldn’t we be outside, so we can fly, or at least float? Anywhere but a dull classroom like this one…” -----“Silence.” Ginger commanded sternly. “This is not a time to be arguing with us, Tsumetai-san. This is serious business. Right, Basil?” She glared at the one boy in the room with such harsh, brown eyes that he staggered backwards, nodding slightly. Pepper shook her head, not understanding why Ginger had commanded her to do anything. -----“Good thing at least one person knows that it’s serious,” Cinna mumbled. When the others made questioning noises, she shook her head. She then began to explain exactly what was going on, from how her father was an alien to just how this affects the others. “Any questions?” she asked afterwards, and immediately got one. -----“Can we try now?” Nutmeg asked, raising her right hand at the same time, “I think it would be fun to know what all of our mew animals are!” -----Cinna sighed. “I’m a Golden Eagle, Basil’s a White Winged Duck, and Ginger’s a Skylark. Pepper, Thyme, and you will need to transform before I can tell you what your animals are, anyway, so you might as well.” Nutmeg nodded, tossing her marble sized green sphere into the air, catching it after she said her phrase. Before the others new it, Mew Nutmeg stood before them. She wore her hair in one long ponytail, and there were two small antennae with green ribbons on her head. She wore a bright green tank top and skirt, with matching gloves and boots. On the top and skirt, however, there was a long diagonal stripe that ran from her right shoulder to her left hip on both her front and back. She also had yellow dragonfly wings, which she had begun to flap. -----“You’re an Emperor Dragonfly,” Cinna commented, placing a picture of the animal on an overhead projector. “Tsumetai? You’re next.” -----“This is, like, a complete and utter waste of time.” Pepper muttered, and then she herself transformed. She wore an orange-brown dress, the skirt of which barely touching her knee, with a small slit in the left side. Similar colored gloves, shoes, and loose socks were also surprisingly found on her, as well as butterfly wings. “I get it. I’m the Bronze Copper Butterfly, aren’t I?” she sighed, a little upset that she had such a wimpy creature. -----“Mew Mew Thyme, Metamorphosis!” Thyme stated, unexcited, holding her black-purple orb in front of her. She, when she stopped glowing, wore a black top with clear straps and gym-like black shorts. She wore short, black boots and black gloves as well, and was pleased to find that the fangs from her alien form were still there. Her wings were black with different shades of gray in them, as well as the tiniest hint of a dark purple. -----“Congratulations, you’re a Fruit Bat. Although I don’t see why you have fangs if you aren’t a vampire bat.” Basil commented, puzzled. “You’re vegetarian, right?” when the girl nodded, he sighed in relief that he had actually remembered correctly. -----“So, what do we do now?” Nutmeg asked, once Cinna and Ginger had transformed. Basil hadn’t, but he would in a minute. -----“Summon your weapon. The first thing that comes to mind. Like this – Cinna Whip!” The brown haired girl grabbed the whip that had suddenly popped up in front of her. Ginger summoned a slingshot to her hand and waited. Basil had, at that point, transformed, summoning a bunch of blow darts. “I hope those are poisonous, Basil-kun, or you have the most wimpy weapon of us so far.” -----“They probably are…” Basil muttered, watching the other three mews summon weapons. Nutmeg had succeeded in getting an ikupasi, or good luck charm. Pepper had summoned a large staff, and Thyme grabbed a boomerang. “I think that Nutmeg wins ‘lamest weapon’ award, though.”

-----“Please!” Brownie begged, bowing in front of a blue light, “I need something to do. Cooking, patrol duty, even cleaning, just give me something to do! Sitting around waiting for Kisshu’s daughter is unentertaining, and it might be best if I keep myself from going insane.” -----“That it would be,” replied a voice, as a great black crow appeared in front of the girl. “Here. I found the soul for this one this morning. Use it to speed the mew creation process along. I would rather like to see how our second half is doing with training.” -----“If it’s her doing the training, she’s coming along far better than the first half,” Brownie muttered, “Since she actually wants to do the training. Kisshu never trained his son properly… he’s a menace, I tell you…” -----The voice laughed, obviously having heard what the alien girl had said. “Just don’t forget, young one. It is possible that Cinna will try to recruit you to her side as well, being the talented individual that you are. I cannot have that. Show her the true reality of the world, and get the remaining sphere from her. It is the red one, I believe.” -----“As you wish, master,” the girl replied, teleporting from the area. Kisshu had head every word of the conversation with his former master, having hidden behind a pillar. He obviously didn’t trust the younger alien to keep his daughter alive. If necessary, he would fight Brownie himself. He also couldn’t believe that Brownie had ignored the parasite he had given her… what a waste. She had also lied about wanting to be in the same class as Cinna. Brownie must have just wanted that in order to get close to her, so that she could crush the other girl from the inside. Vanishing without a trace, the room became still again.

-----“I don’t think that this is going to be useful in the long run,” Thyme commented, staring at her boomerang. “The second thing that came to my mind was a scythe… would that have been of any greater use than this blunt object? Though this supposedly will return to me… I’ve read about them in books…” she sat in a chair, thinking about her new ideas of how this weapon could be of any use. -----“I thought of a bag of explosive powder next! I don’t get why I have a staff. I’m, like, a BUTTERFLY. I can’t believe it!” Pepper screamed in anger. This wasn’t fair to her in the least, but she had to deal with it. -----“My good luck charm that I lost in 2nd grade!” Nutmeg exclaimed, holding her ikupasi close to her, “It may look like a bunch of green bracelets to you, but to me, it’s good luck!” She placed two on each of her arms, and danced around, flipping in the air. -----“So these are the miserable mew mews,” commented a dark-green haired alien, “Pathetic. I had hoped you had begun to teach them sooner, daughter of Kisshu. I, Deep Blue’s agent, shall teach you a lesson you’ll never forget!” A black crow flew next to her, and cawed at the mews. -----“Oh great. Deep Blue is alive again. How did he manage that, anyway?” Cinna asked, holding up her whip in a threatening position, as Thyme stood back up, “No, don’t answer. I thought he wasn’t really dead.” -----“This Chimera should be enough to defeat you,” the alien girl commented, ignoring what Cinna had said. “I hope you at least put up a fight. I’ve been going insane not having anyone else to fight.” -----“So, let me get this straight,” asked the red-headed member of the group, “We’re supposed to attack that thing with this kind of weapon? A staff isn’t much use, you know. And I doubt a good luck charm will do anything.” -----“Trust me, it’ll work. I’ve just got blow darts, after all!” Basil replied, holding up his weapon proudly, “But a stupid black crow shouldn’t be that hard. This girl is obviously a pushover when it comes to these ‘chimera’ things.” -----The short, dark green haired alien seemed to take offense to this. “I’ll have you know that Deep Blue himself made this chimera! I’m just the one who gets to use it.” She pointed at Basil, and the crow launched several feathers at him… just what he needed. -----The boy jumped out of the way, now thankful that he had the wings. He landed softly on the ground and shot a bunch of darts at the crow, shouting something along the lines of “Feather Basil Quack” before doing so. The darts were dead on, scoring a hit on the chimera’s neck. -----“Ribbon Nutty Spirit!” exclaimed shorter girl with a ponytail, as she clicked the bracelets together, shooting a ray of green light at the chimera. It was unaffected by this, however, and threw a wave of feathers at the group, knocking them all backwards. -----“I’ll take this,” Brownie said, grabbing a red, glowing sphere, the same size as the other mews’ spheres, from a desk. “Deep Blue said he wanted it. Though, just for fun, a little test. Mew Mew Brownie, Metamorphosis!” Amazingly, the alien began to glow. Before they knew it, a mew with hummingbird-green wings stood before them. Her outfit was essentially like Zakuro’s, except with an actual shirt with sleeves, a skirt instead of shorts, with gloves. All of this was the same hummingbird-green of her wings. Another odd thing was that ribbons danced from her collar and the top of her head, all in a ruby color. Her ears, of course, were still the same alien pointy ears. -----“A Ruby Throated Hummingbird…?” Cinna gasped, realizing that this young alien girl, most likely named ‘Brownie’ judging by her transformation phrase, was the last member of their mew mew group. This was not good, since her father had warned her about this girl. Brownie was one of Deep Blue most loyal subjects. It would be difficult to get her to end her service. -----Brownie stared at her hands, and then looked at her back, noticing that she hadn’t fallen to the floor yet. She couldn’t believe that she actually was a mew mew, and transformed back into her previous form. “What… was that?” she murmured, and then growled at the other mew mews. “I’ll be back someday.” She said, “And when I am, be prepared to fight on your terms. Though I will only do it one on one. No interference.” She vanished, leaving the others to worry.

-----“This isn’t good,” Minto said, serving the group a fresh batch of iced tea, “I heard from your father, Cinna, that Brownie was going to come today, but I didn’t realize that she would steal the last sphere. Now how will you find the last –“ -----“She is the last mew, kaa-san.” The girl replied, after taking a sip of her tea. “I know it’s strange, but a 100% pure blooded demon is our seventh member. I would normally say this is a good thing, but she serves Deep Blue directly! And no one ever gives up that position. Not for the world!” She clenched her left fist, holding the cup only in her right. “I don’t know what to do…” -----“We could always try asking her,” Basil suggested. He was back in his human form, as was everyone else, and was very glad for it. He, unlike the others, hated his wings, except for during battle. “You never know. She might be more reasonable than the other ‘demons’. I’m sure not all demons are bad.” -----“What I meant by demon is one who is cold hearted and has no feelings, or reason, in them, and serves Deep Blue. Since she serves him directly, she’s in a higher position. Being in a higher position at her age is a great accomplishment,” Cinna was merely clarifying her words, yet it seemed like she was arguing. “We have to get her to join us, though. Maybe… when she comes back, if she loses, she’ll join us…?” -----“It’ll be worth a shot.” Basil replied with a weak smile. “Until then, we all have to train. What’s next on the schedule?”
[End Chapter 3]
Author’s Note: About the length I intended… or longer. This should have been shorter, or the same length, as the last chapter. I hope you enjoyed this one. It took me a great deal of time to actually come up with exactly what I would do. I have another preview prepared for the next chapter. This one is not as long as the other ones, though.
[Chapter 4 Preview]
-----The mews all sat at the same table in the cafeteria that day. “So, have you received any news about Brownie?” Ginger asked, mostly aiming the question toward Cinna and Basil. -----“We talked to Deep Blue yesterday.” The boy replied, and passed a slip of paper to her, “She apparently was told to meet us in the park about a block away from here today. Cinna, of course, called herself Sage. Deep Blue would have known it was her, otherwise.” -----“I see…” Ginger said, nodding. “So, is it a big deal that Brownie is a mew mew, or are we going to have major issues fighting her?” -----“You’ve been training for a while,” Cinna replied, “It won’t be hard. Brownie will pick one of us to fight first, most likely whomever she thinks is weakest. Be prepared… we have to defeat her before she defeats 3 of us. That is the agreement that Kisshu told us that Brownie had muttered to herself.” -----“And just how does that father of yours know that?” Pepper asked impatiently. When Cinna pointed at her ears, the girl was instantly silent again.
