slipknot_afi_freakazoid will KoRn disrput my tiny widdle bwain? because of their bad words... i don't know what to doo! if i start saying bad fings, i'll get in twubble! (if you could'nt read through the baby talk, what i'm trying to ask is if korn is too bad. watch the music video right now and listen to the words. then you'll understand what i'm saying.) These are questions you should ask yourself when listening to your music. It is very easy to pickup speaking habits and manerisms from anything you listen to on a daily basis(even friends) and if you don't like their manerisms or others are offended by them; it may not be a good idea to get a lot of contact with that enviroment. Just becareful when you listen to questionable music, because you won't notice anything at first because the changes come on a subconcious level usually at first, then after a while they affect your conciousness. So ask yourself this, do I want to put myself in a situation where I have no control, and if you do, who is controling me and do I want to be controled by that? Know that you can break out the problems that come from the subconious, but they are a lot harder because of the lack of control you have over them. Just pray about it, and see what you and God decide.

Caterham_Paladin What ever you listen to is cool, man. I love that song... umm I dunno the name but the chorus shouts, "Die Mother F'er! Die Mother F'er! Die!" I just tend to listen to it on the way to the range to get all my pent up frustrations to the surface and let em all go... Altough I have had people tell me that my gun handling gets sloppy when I am mad. Anyway, no cursing doesn't "warp" you as long as you don't take the meaning to heart. After all if it is in your heart it will come out your mouth and actions. no, the chorus shouts, "i ******** hate you!" and the bridge says, "shut up! shut up! shut up i'll ******** you up!" but oh well.

Lithanus Granted I like the way System of a Down, Rob Zombie, Marlyn Mansion, and others sound with the instrumentals and the way they were sung, but I can't let myself be subjected to the message that they portray. System of a Down mainly focuses on Current Political or Environmental Issues. Theyre not bad at all ((a little weird, but not bad)). Rob Zombie, just dark, Not Anti-Christ,and Marlyn Manson . . . sweatdrop Ok I'm not going to get into that one because there would be too much argumentive proof against me, lol.

As Christians, we are called to test everything correct? God does not want us to be uninformed. He wants us to not judge anything until we fully understand it. So yes, it is right for you to listen to that kind of music as long as you understand it, and take into account the context of the lyrics. Is the song blatantly offencive to God? Probably not the healthiest thing to be listening to... If you're unsure about something (be it a song or anything else) think to yourself, what would Jesus say if he walked into the room right now?

I love listening to classic heavy metal so as a Christian, I prefer listening to bands like Holy Soldier, Petra, Bloodgood, Stryper, and any Christian band that may have that kind of style. It puts me in a spiritual and hopeful mood when I listen to any of them smile . As for listening to anything that's not Christian, I often feel either neutral or just "in the world" as we might put it confused
