Con the Awesome!
Skin: Fair skinned, with never drying splashes of paint in all the colors of the rainbow, randomly distributed throughout his body. In the summer heat, they drip. They get all over everything, including his clothing and his own person. Each of his fingertips has a different color of paint, allowing him to "draw" with his fingers, much to the chagrin of unsuspecting walls everywhere.
I think maybe if you just stick with "bringing ink to life" (have you ever seen Ghostwriter, btw? If not -- one of the main characters is a ghost that's able to pick out words and letters from books, letters, things in places the human detective characters are unable to access normally, and spin them up in the air or arrange letters on a page to read with a new message, something like that....) that'd be enough. (Though, to be honest, I'm not sure how powerful an IotS is allowed to be...)
If you wanted her to be able to draw anything she wanted though... Well, her blood is ink, of course, but the thought of her pricking her finger so she could draw is kind of morbid XD;
Maybe she could make
pre-existing ink wet though, and be able to smear it, so she could draw in books and things like that... ::thinks::
