The song attached to this movie is awesome.
Jack Black should just write songs about himself and the fatter guy. :3
I might see it but I don't know.

When you get down to facts, Tenacious D is one of the smartest cover band concepts ever! Jack is a clever and talented performer. A few of his improvised songs are well worth a listen, and his covers of material by The Who are are on target.
After seeing their one hour show at ComicCon in '05, I walked away very impressed. I'll be seeing the movie no matter how weak the storyline might wind up being. I can only hope they get a couple of new songs on the movie soundtrack.

It's the guy who created Sifl and Ollie the director of this? That alone should make it epic win.

iTunes Store is giving away a free three and a half minute Tenacious D video promotion for the new CD soundtrack. It's put together like the best of the worst shows on channel101.com: really cheezy production values, one take sloppiness and a plot that is to laugh at. But what do want for nothing?
If you have an account with the iTunes Store, go get the video.

POD (a track you get up front when you buy the album) is very interesting, to say the least!

The Tenacious D Album (from which the Amazing Song in the trailer comes) is very good, seriously; they might be a comedy act but musically they're there too. You can actually sing to it which is pretty rare these days.
Can't wait for the movie.

They really had me with "Classico!"
The iTunes copy of the soundtrack album comes with a .pdf file of the CD liner notes and lyrics, as well as a full and uncensored copy of the Time Fixers video that Apple hosted for free when the promotion began.
Well worth the money!

I kinda want to see this movie. Mostly because Jack Black is awesome. And Tenacious D is too. So if this movie is no good. i'll still be able to laugh at it.
