In all my years of playing guitar, the one thing I've never been able to do is that Chet Atkins kind of playing, where you play out a very simple bassline with your thumb and pick out a lead with your fingers.

Can anyone play like that? I commend you greatly if you can, and I will thank you profusely if you can offer me some tips on how to do this style of picking...

I can play road trippin' by RHCP and heartbeats by José Gonzalez but that's about it... sweatdrop

Though to be honest I'm more impressed by the harmonic run at the end. Not that it''s that hard to do I just love harmonics! mrgreen

If you haven't already seen him check out Justin King. Though it's not finger picking stuff... Still I like him. blaugh This might be better.
