For me the devil represents our worldly desires as well that temps us to go to the wrong path away from God

Actually didn't it say somwhere in th bible he was an angel of music?

Actually, the seven deadly sins idea cam from the Catholic Church and never was stated in the bible. Atleast as far as I know.

It's the fictional book that paints the character of lucifer as the highest angel in heaven, with a gift for music, who became jealous of God and rebelled, but was defeated.

Though I've only ever read the Cliff's Notes myself.

yes but your enemy is an abstract concept of "evil" which is simply defined as anythign not "of god" also i've heard other reasons for the fall of the devil. normaly the "war on god" myth though. this thread is just another prime example of christians being devided amongst themselves.

Lucifer was the "Morning Star" as said in the Bible. He was the best of the best of God's creations. Then comes the arrogance and he thinks he can overthrow God. Along with 1/3 of the angels he was booted out of Heaven and into Hades or Hell. All as God had planned.

God created his own arch nemisis knowing what would happen? this seems odd to me. a guy who you all say loves you is the reason behind all of your temptation and suffering.

Hi I have a question. Why doesn't God kill the devil and get it over with? Wouldn't it be much easier? question confused
