Kage made haste, running to keep up with Fira, which wasn't much of a difficult feet considering how short the Charmander was. Either or, at least now they'd leave the forest that much sooner. It still surprised him though that he hadn't encountered any fellow trainers, or anyone for that matter. Not since the woman from Snowpoint had delivered that gift of pokemon from his mother since he missed out on the 4th of july celebrations. Somehow it was funny how far away from home he was, but it hadn't bothered him as much as he had originally expected. Already they could see the light breaching the wall of trees around them.

It looked as though they only had to round the corner to meet up the exit and reach pewter city.

"Fira! Clear the way with Ember!" Kage ordered. His charmander gladly let out a brief 'Chaaaar!' before swinging its tail and letting loose several bursts of ember at the wild weedle. As always the move was super effective and the wild weedle drooped its head to the grassy floor, blacked and completely fainted. Kage was kind enough to pick it up and set aside a tree so no one steps on it while it's unawares. Once that nicety was finished he and his companion left for Pewter City.
