No, but I am in a clarinet trio (I play bass). I've never played a in a proper quintet though...

I was in a clarinet quintet last year. We do them for Solo/Ensemble contests, so I don't know yet if I will be this year.

I was in one in high school....actually...I STARTED it in high school. I play the Bb Soprano Clarinet. We had one more clarinet, two flutes, and a cello (no one could play the bass clarinet well enough to join). We ended up getting standing ovations all around.

For solo and ensemble my freshmen year, I played in a ensemble of 6 flutes (including me)
This year, since our senior friend graduated, we are going to have a quintet for Solo and Ensemble! biggrin

I would like to be in one. I have a woodwind quintet piece my dad wanted me to get, so I got it. Its for: -Flute -Oboe -Clarinet -French Horn -Bassoon
It's something by Jaques Ibert, I can't remember the name. But what we have done is I play the flute part...on flute, my friend plays the oboe part on her flute, the clarinet part I either give to my friend that plays trumpet or my dad who will play it on his soprano sax, and I give the french horn part to my friend....that plays french horn. The bassoon part I would like to give to one of my friends that plays tuba, but I don't think I could get either of them to play it.
Every time me and my dad play flute and soprano sax duets, we have to pull out the second movement of that, which is basically a duet between the flute and the clarinet. It's b-e-a-utiful!

I was for S&E.
I play bassoon.
Then there was an oboe, a flute, a clarinet, and a horn in F.
We played Flight of the Bumblebee.
We got all A's and a 1. : DD
